For all those who are trashing Wade, please check in here and let me know what the expectation/standard is for the new coach.
Btw. If the answer involves being in the tournament every year, you can thank Wade for setting that standard.
ETA. lots of responses, but yet none of the anti-Wade crowd wants to go on record as to what the “standard” for LSU basketball is. That’s odd.

I’ll forever stand by, we should not have let go of William. Most talented basketball coach we’ve ever had, only 39 years old. I truly can’t wait to see all these Wade haters watch LSU basketball become a bottom feeder, like they once were.

Getting to the sweet 16 once every 2-3 years without getting suspended for NCAA violations would be a great start.

Football? Coach was fired shortly after a national championship. The standards and expectations are light years apart.
Baseball even more so than basketball. Omaha is expected every other year or so.

Honestly there's no reason we should not be a consistent tournament team. Sometimes things happen and we'll end up in the NIT. But damn it's really stupid how shite this program was prior to Wade.
I definitely think Woody might have made the move to with a healthy idea that it'll protect us from harsh sanctions or so I hope. So now he just needs to make a good hire.
