How is inflation impacting you? Radio host gets some pretty serious answers

Radio personality from Texas asks how inflation is impacting listeners. Clearly he expected things like “we are cutting back, etc. But most of the responses he got are a bit more serious than that.
Kind of puts things into perspective. I probably won’t bitch as much about not going to restaurants as often.

I mean, I know the OT likes to joke, but there are millions of people living paycheck to paycheck, and these higher prices for virtually everything you need is creating real problems for many millions of people.

Joe is asshoe, but I wonder how many people living hand to mouth voted for him?

Reading some of those was rough. If those are true, that is awful

A lot of people may delay their retirement to try and keep pace with cost of living increases.

It's a real problem for everyone.
We already have a staffing problem. If people can't even afford to drive to work, what's their option?
When "poor" people can't shop and do basic things...
Retailers sell less products. Fast food sells less food.
Retailers and vendors lay off people.
Suppliers lay off people.
Warehouse workers lay off people.
Trucking companies lay off people.
More people have less money to spend, so...
More restaurants and stores suffer.
Theme parks and attractions suffer.
Hotels suffer.
Travel industry suffers.
And so on and so on.
I'm very worried about where all this heads. I don't want to do it, but we may tighten the budget up just to be safe.

But at least we're sticking it to Putin, so I don't care if gas is $15/gal because I drive a Tesla

And many, MANY of those will still vote democrat again in 2022 and 2024. They’re stupid and I don’t feel sorry for them whatsoever. In fact, those are the ones who deserve what’s happening right now.

I'm job searching now. The two biggest, most promising opportunities in this area are each on the opposite end of the next county over from mine. I'd be either be driving an hour west or an hour fifteen minutes east.
My wife works from home, and has a great job. I'm considering changing my career and starting an entry level job at her company.

Reading that is a sobering experience. Thank you. We all need perspective sometime.
Guess I won’t lament paying full price on a Toyota product now…….

I was wondering about the lawn service companies. That post confirmed my theories. I know 2 people who are in the business. I feel sorry for them.

I think this is a great reminder that those of us who are blessed should pick up a few extra cans for the food pantry. It’s more important than ever.

Sadly, when asked what needs to be done, many people respond with: “print more stimulus money.”

The last one would get a cheer from the left. No beef is a goal for them.

Working from home while kids on break.
I think we’re making a grocery run today and swinging by the church food pantry.
Great idea:)
