If those restaurants are related that's news to me. So far as I know, Adolfo's "restaurant group" is down to La Boca (which has to have been hit hard over the last two years given the lack of tourism and convention traffic) and high Hat. He cashed out of Ancora IIRC.

Adolfo’s on Frenchmen isn’t/ wasn’t related to the fatass Adolfo, either.

Avenue pub tried to virtue signal themselves out of business. I don't live in NO so my choice to never go there again probably doesn't hurt their bottom line, but the owner was blaming those "damned people not wearing masks" for Latoya's prolonged shut downs. She later went on and implemented vaccine ID weeks before NO required them.

Carrolton Market owner (now closed), Chef Jason Goodenough, lol, ironic last name. Yankee who comes from a ton of money and preached how if you didn't like his politics, he didn't want your business.

Seems like he didn't want his business either.

But similar places (out of state left wing owned, specializing in high ingredient comfort food) survived.

Politics aren't important, the out of state part is. Most places opening in another state are doing so because they have locations in multiple different places that are obviously successful. Having 1 restaurant fail has different impacts on a guy who owns 1 restaurant vs a group that owns 20+.

Yes he did .. ask him what he thinks about people not wearing masks during the mandates. Ask him if he went to social media about it.

Went in a few times and nobody hassled me about wearing a mask nor have they ever asked for vax cards. That was all I was basing my position on.

Sure they are Adolf.

Three shitty restaurants run by an absolute loser. Will all be closed by 2023. And nobody will care.

I’m not sure how much involvement Garcia still has in High Hat and Ancora. Chip @ High Hat and Bryn @ Ancora definitely have ownership. Both are very nice guys and are always there.

A ton of restaurants are just within a breath of closing when everything is perfect. When something this challenging comes out it will clear them out. People who's pockets were deep enough to hold on faired at least OK depending on the political climate they were in. The PPE money spent wisely was a big shot in arm to some and to others it wouldn't have mattered how much it was they were getting while the getting was good. The employment situation and cost of goods have been a huge challenge but the people doing well are doing really well.

This is an impressively terrible post. Congrats. It’s hard to be this wrong so many times in such a short amount of text.

Yeah, three restaurants that are regularly very busy.

I was unaware Garcia sold or partially sold Ancora and High Hat.

Was at Ancora Friday night. High Hat was doing a huge business with a line out the door. In fact, some of the customers were spilling over to Ancora to avoid the wait.

Crazy how over-zealous people got about all this.

One I would add is Dat Dog on Magazine. Only place I visited that was annoying about vaccine cards and checking IDs. The bartender just loved having that power over everyone. Might have been a bad day but people were visibly annoyed.
