When I started driving it was .32c/ gal.Considering I only made $1.25/ hr before taxes.relatively expensive.Had to work an hour to buy 3 gal.,car got about 12 mpg.

In Spain in the Navy early 70’s gas was .25c on base,I had a Fiat that got 25mpg.

I remember it under a dollar in the early 2000s

God, that’s depressing.

In a little over 20 years we went from gas under a buck a gallon, when men had balls and fortitude,

And now, the balls are under the “gals” and gas is 4 bucks.

I want to say around .79 cents is what I used to pay in HS. Filled up my little Toyota truck for like 9 bucks and could drive it for weeks on a single fill up.

In 1992 or '93, I paid the US equivalent of $.12/gallon in Venezuela.

78 cents a gallon was the cheapest I’ve ever seen. This was mid-late 90’s.

Paid $.59 a gallon in Gwinnett County GA in 1997 or 98.

Easily the cheapest I can remember in my driving life.
