I’m still high on this team overall but we were outmatched by a way better team tonight. Not much you can do but smile and wait for the future

So now we are acting like playing defense doesn’t matter in baseball? That’s part of the game. And if the defense continues anything like this, it’s going to continue to cost us games. Already has cost us two this year. Both our losses.

This LSU has to learn how to hit good pitching. They will face good pitching every Friday and Saturday in the SEC.

As i said before, this game just doesnt matter much. It was an opportunity, but itll be a good lesson. Getting to face elite pitching early will help in SEC play. The first time facing elite pitching each year is tough for a week or two

We make way too many errors and tip your cap to the Texas pitcher as he has handcuffed us all night. Not over yet. It's early in the season but I see no definitive Sat and Sunday starter yet on this staff.

I’m not sold they see pitching as good as Texas every weekend in conference. 2-3 weekend max

Baw. They give up what seems like multiple unearned runs a game. Time to stop using that as an excuse. The fielding is terrible

Texas hasn't even hit the ball better than LSU. Our defense, and the fact that one of Texas' hits happened to leave the park with two men on, is the difference.
