GameCube was popular during a time I wasn’t super into gaming (late college/early grad school). Maybe consider a switch too. There are plenty of single player Nintendo first party games.

Couldn't you just get a Wii? Those are BC with Gamecube games.

GameCube games can be downloaded from the Nintendo Store onto a Switch and they have a GameCube controller for the Switch for sale as well.

Best Buy

I thoroughly enjoyed my Gamecube, and still argue Super Smash Melee is the best Smash.

Gamecube didnt get its proper due when it was initially released but I feel in many ways the console has aged the best of that entire generation

Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Windwaker, Mario Sunshine, RE4, Rogue Leader, Viewtiful Joe, Supermonkey Ball, Tony Hawk 3, Paper Mario, Star Fox Adventures, to name a a few...lots of very solid titles.

Gamecube is worth it in my opinion. I'm still playing Melee and Custom Robo. Want to get Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door, but it's over 100 bucks on eBay

GameCube was a top tier system imo. Definitely quality over quantity when it came to their titles.

SSX Tricky, Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Mario Sunshine...

I remember having a lot of good games, just not sure if they were on Wii or N64.

We had it but not sure why you'd want it now. Unless money is a consideration?

The Switch plugs right into your TV and has generally the same type games. Mario, kart, smash, etc.

Some of my favorites:

Tales of Symphonia
Super Mario Sunshin
Baten Kaitos
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Skies of Arcadia
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Metroid Prime
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Super Smash Bros Melee
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Pokemon Colosseum
Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness
Luigi's Mansion
Eternal Darkness
Pikmin 1 and 2
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
Animal Crossing
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg

It's a shame the GameCube didn't sell well relative to the PS2 and XBox. It's still my favorite console, although the Switch is slowly gaining traction with it's lineup.

What are your opinions on GameCube, and what are some good games I should look into if I get one?

I never owned one, but friends did. I do know that in college me and a couple of buddies stayed up all night several nights playing SSX: Tricky. Awesome snowboarding game, even if you don't care for snowboarding.
