Yet,

That compares with 2.8% a year ago and 0.3% in early 2020

prices had not gone up much but there was a huge shortage of new cars starting to happen.

Can’t post pics of the new SUV on Facebook unless you pay above MSRP!!!
That’s just a fact!

Jeez. Unless absolutely necessary I’d wait. Then wait again

Agreed. I wouldn't buy one unless mine was totaled or something. I'd just get it fixed if it had issues and plan on driving it another year or two.

I have not understand at all why people are still buying vehicles.

The mark up is unreal.

Not one thing justifies the amount on the stickers now

Best to wait. Cars are going back into production and the used lots will be overflowing.

chip shortage was happening prior to FJB.

The good news is the chip issue is being solved. Intel is building a $20 billion chip plant in Ohio. Bad news is it won’t be in full production until late 2024.

That’s crazy. Great car, but I’m pretty sure the E46’s we’re going for mid to upper teens at one point

I bought a new 4Runner TRD Pro back in July. I’m seeing the same exact vehicle used with 7-10k miles on it for 10-15k more than what I purchased mine for. I’m glad I bought when I did!

I just ordered a new F-150 for 3k under MSRP. Only because I got the Ford X Plan.

Same here. If you’re caught paying more you just aren’t trying very hard. It’s the car market. Don’t be impatient and shop around

Telluride brah. My wife has it her head that she needs one right NOW. She has been calling places all over the country and they are sold within minutes and are marked up anywhere from 5-10k. It’s insane. She’s found a few places selling at MSRP, but those are sold just as fast.

Bottomed out about 2012 or 2013, I could have gotten maybe $20k for it then, was worth about $25k at the beginning of 2020. Mine was low miles (44k) with a fully documented service history, manual but otherwise fully optioned and with a desirable color combo including 2 color BMW Individual seats.

I just paid $3,500 u see MSRP for a 2022 truck, but I feel like new MSRP’s have been hiked. Either way I paid way more than I would’ve 2 years ago.
