I wouldn't recommend Principal's List to anyone. Never heard anything positive from any of their locations. Don't waste your time. Years to grow and Creative Minds are good options. A few of the churches have good Mother's day out/daycare programs...Maybe check out Holy Cross.

Its been a few years but some examples of shite she did was stuff like text my wife pics of his shitty diaper and complain about it…. He was a fussy baby so she’d text her all the time that he’s crying nonstop and Waking all the kids… bitch I’m paying you $700 to figure this out! Let me work and handle ya business. There was a time when we were both working and he developed diarrhea…. She “demanded” we get there within 30 min to pick him up. Have you seen Lafayette traffic? Just a bad bad Bad overall experience.

I’m sure some In home sitters are great but I feel that they’re not supervised by anyone and can get away with murder if wanted. After we used her, we vowed to never do it again unless it’s our parents doing the watching.

Best thing to do IMO is find a reputable daycare for a year or so then get them into fishers. My oldest transitioned into kindergarten without an ounce of issues after a few years at fishers. It’s an old school ran place and preps them for school.

Guchereau

I went there back when it was Fisher-Guchereau. I can still remember playing musical chairs and trying to climb out of the bathroom window.

both of my kids went to the one near Maurice. They never went anyplace else so I have nothing to compare, but I can't complain of the experience. The kids seemed to like it.

Both of my neighbor's kids went to Fishers. I'm good friends with them and don't remember any complaints.

Creative Minds or Principals List in the Youngsville area.

I hear good things about Guchereau but we toured and it's very old and grungy.

My wife reached out to the alumni association of her former sorority at LSU. We had about 20 girls contact us and they have a group chat in case one is ever not available for a substitute. We found 2 girls we really like and they’ve basically become like family. Plus we haven’t had to cart the kids around.

The best subtle brags are so subtle the reader can't tell if it's a brag or not. Kudos!

If I were you, I'd try to narrow down what part of Lafayette you are looking into.

There are a handful of good options. Definitely pick the best one that's also closest to your house.

Reds - most parents just drive up and push out their kids out for a few hours.

There's a brand new one that looks like it'll open soon in Youngsville called Prodigy. It's owned by the same group that's running the charter school.

Any recommendation would really depend on which part of town you move to. Definitely get somewhere close to home, LFT traffic sucks most of the time.

For a more narrowed area, I’d say aim for areas around Lourdes Hospital.

My wife's best friend worked for an in home sitter for like a week. Three people watched 15 kids in a freaking single wide trailer. Charging $500 per child, per month and paying my wife's friend and the other worker $25 per day. You can do the math on that. My wife's friend asked if she could bring her child and the "owner" said that she would have to take it out of her pay(the full $500).

that's why they have 2 parents. best case scenario for a kid is in the home with one parent
Have you seen the cost of living these days? Besides, what career professional can sit home at least 4 years and just jump back into his/her field?

Little Shepard’s? My sister works there. I think it’s only a few days a week and ends at around 2.
