Popeyes is 90% breading/batter.
I never understood the craze for it

Is this a new thing? Got a large red beans last week that had as much red beans as the small cups use to have. I thought it was just a shitty location.

Only acceptable food I got was the biscuit... Fries soggy, chicken small, 1/2 breaded and it tasted unseasoned, definitely wasn't spicy.

And you have a good chance of catching them hands if you aren't careful.

I had Popeyes last weekend and tipped the drive thru clerk a couple of bucks.

My 3 piece white/spicy with red beans was excellent. They put two breasts and one wing.

I did notice a price increase but still under $20 for two such meals sans drink.

I love Popeyes and don’t care how much it costs but I can’t deal with the line going into the street at all hours. I don’t want to wait 20 minutes to find out “we out of chicken”.

This OP made me reminisce about a joyous encounter at the Covington Popeyes a few months back.

Gas station fried chicken ftw in most cases. Better chicken for cheaper prices.

The meme about Canes is shrinking tenders.

The sammmiches are still 3.99. I hadn't gotten one in over a year and figured they would have shrunk to the size of a Cane's finger but if they have shrunk I couldn't remember them being larger but they were always significantly larger than CFA.

I have not had a fantastic biscuit at Popeyes in years. What they serve now is a piece of crap compared to the made from scratch biscuits of yesteryear.

The frozen pucks of today have never seemed more than mediocre to me.

Gotta wait around for that Tuesday special baw. 2 - 2 piece spicy dark, 2 biscuits and a drink is about $10

Locally for me, Popeyes is actually worth it though (even with an extra helping of surly attitude).

Since Covid I’ve pretty much stopped eating out and started cooking more. It’s a constant reminder of how shitty fast food is. I may never eat it again

A Spicy chicken sandwich and and 8 piece nugget for under 10 bucks. I'm good with that.

The pieces of chicken at Popeyes are half the size they used to be. Pull that femur off the thigh - compare it to a thigh sold at the grocery store, it's tiny. Yeah I know fryers are smaller, but these things are tiny now. Makes the chicken sandwich even more appealing since it at least is big enough.
