Any of you baws wear cowboy boots for things other than working on a ranch or riding a horse?

I picked up a pair of Ariats to wear with casual outfits - Most likely jeans and a button up. I’m not sure yet what to think about them.

I have worn boots since I was a toddler and prefer them as footwear over shoes even when wearing suit and tie.

I wear cowboy boots regularly. I wear a pair of cordoba colored cayman skin Lucchese boots daily and a pair of black, cayman skin Luccheses for dressup.

I was a cowboy back in the day so I wear cowboy boots. They're comfortable so I have no reason to change

I wear RedWing Pecos boots every day. They're basically a Roper style boot. I traded in my lace-up climbers when my job moved out of the field and into the office--probably saved several hours of time annually just by moving from lace up to slip on.

So, yeah, mostly for work (they meet the company footwear requirements for sole, heel, etc.), but I'm a farmer on the weekends, so I wear them there too.

Gotta be honest--we moved to a new church a few months ago, and I was pleasantly surprised to see the pastor wearing full quill ostrich boots and jeans on Sunday morning. I've never attended a church where the clergy wore anything besides suit/tie. Seeing the pastor's attire basically gave me the excuse I needed to give up wearing the suit/tie combo myself. Now, it's jeans and boots for this old cowboy (and occasional telephone man) 7 days a week.

I don't wear them as much these days. I have a pair that needs to be resoled. If I take a notion I'll get them done. I don't care enough about wearing them right now.
