I think anyone who can competently play the position in the sec could help us there.
Impossible to argue with that!

May 1 is the NCAA’s portal entrance date for eligibility that same season. Someone dropped 2/1 as some SEC intra-conference date recently, but that was the first I had ever heard of that.
Hip to May 1 is why I'm trying to find out on the Feb 1 bit.
If it is a real deadline the portal won't help us if Auburn roster disintegrates, obviously.

Bro. If you’re going to get somebody…

I’d = I would (shouldn’t’ve put the ‘have’ in there)

It’s still possible that any incoming freshmen could be released from the NLIs if there is a coaching change. There’s precedent for that. I have a feeling they could get around the 2/1 date, as they wouldn’t really be traditional transfers.

Hope so. Know off the top of your head if they had any badass IOL signees? (I'll look it up, just asking)

Yeah but should the consequences of banging some hot willing babes in the office really cost you your career? Your marriage sure but this hyper sensitivity to public figures banging secretaries is kind of ridiculous IMO.

What I read was this:

Feb. 1 was the deadline to enter the portal to play Fall sports. (This would limit us to those players already in the portal.)

May 1 is the deadline to commit to a new team to play Fall sports.

I don’t know that is the way to express your opinion on this matter. I have always said I will not judge other peoples actions when it comes to marriage. There are a lot of things that occur behind closed doors that people on the outside might not realize. What if the spouse no longer likes sex and refuses to have it with their spouse? What if they have an agreement? Anyway, I’m sure he could of found a willing participant away from the organization he runs. That is where the biggest issue arises. Putting his employer in jeopardy by screwing your subordinate. The whole morals of marriage is something he has to live with and most likely he just couldn’t resist temptation. Now he has to suffer the consequences from his wife also.

May 1 is the NCAA deadline to enter the portal and still be eligible for fall 2022. February 1 is the SEC deadline for transfers within the conference.

There is no deadline for high school players to commit, other than the fall enrollment deadline at the particular school.

There are certain windows when players can sign a National Letter of Intent (NLI) which have already passed. But players don’t have to sign NLI’s to play college football.

Someone mentioned that incoming freshmen might be granted releases from their NLI’s. As I understand it, coaching changes do not qualify for automatic NLI release.

Definitive stuff.
Have me shot for not being sure but wasn't it you that did all the work on the rules and such then posted so the rest of us "unwashed" could have a clue?

He didn't realize the microscope he would be under at AU and thought no one would care like when he was at Boise St.

The AU deal is all about people who didn't like the guy to begin with & would rather bring the house down (and the reputations of innocent people) with personal rumors than actually build their program by cooperation. Spoiled big money donors, who will stoop to any low down level to soothe their egos! How many of you guys would like to get that deal on your own jobs & against your own families & personal reputations?

So, was Auburn President’s comments yesterday an ultimate dagger into the Auburn 2023 Recruiting Class? Perhaps that can be an inroad to a broadened web for next year?
