Some people are shortsighted. All this does is push residents out of New Orleans and to their neighborhoods.

But let everyone celebrate. This is bad for the state and shite like this happening around the country is bad for all of us.

Assuming I understand your context correctly, absolutely true. From a totally pragmatic perspective, Nola needs to be okay. For many reasons, but just my own, to keep the shite there. Nola-minded people, regardless of race and class, moving to surrounding “safe” areas will just frick up those areas as well.

Of course there’s the issue of the Port(s) and Nola as an economic engine in many ways that if fail will move out of state making things even worse for the state.

So the paradox of Nola is as true and relevant as ever. More so. A shithole with much beauty. A place of great good and evil. Hate it and love it. Have the best time ever there or get robbed, raped or killed.

So frick Nola and long live a functional Nola.

Good god, I had never even heard of the 701 statute before. What the hell is going on in New Orleans.

Oliver Thomas is back. Convicted for taking bribes in City Council then back in same position on the radio like a glorified hero. Corrupt is a primary characteristic for most politicians.

Just take all that levee money and dig a ditch from Morgan city to Baton Rouge. Then you don’t need the plague of New Orleans

How do you remove a DA?

Dial 1-800-Dexter.

Or let him let out some scumbag that goes and harms a family member of a former Marine Corps sniper.

Were you unaware that N.O. is spiraling down the toilet? House prices are extremely high right now. Sell, GTFO.

If you knew how bad things have gotten, you were a volunteer, not a victim. Leave.

The gentrification part has been going on for about 10 years. The thought is push all the undesirables as far to the east as possible. That's why NO East continues to get more dangerous at a ridiculous clip.

I’m glad we have laws that allow the citizens to be released and not held indefinitely at a politicians whim.

With that said, what this DA is doing is fricking ridiculous and he deserves to be tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail.

But he’s doing exactly what he was elected to do. That’s why the OT laughs at Nola, Bc Nola voted for exactly this.

No doubt it’s intentional. What is the ultimate purpose though?

Williams has spent his entire career keeping criminals on the streets. As a judge, he prides himself on presiding over Not Guilty verdicts.

Plus he is going to need some friends on the inside when he is serving time in Prison for tax fraud.

On the flip side, people will welcome more New Orleans restaurants and businesses opening up locations on the northshore, river parishes, and even Baton Rouge to cater to all the former residents.

Guess it doesn't work like that for the Jan 6 insurrectionists, no?
