2 Timothy 1-5

You should know this, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.
2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred.
3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.
4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.
5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that

Rev you can find a lot of warnings that line up but as the Man himself said, we know not when the owner of the house will return. All we can do is keep our lamps well oiled and lit...

Leftist religions:

Climate Change
"Trust the Science"
Abortion
"Pay their fair share"

Not part of Leftist Religion:

God
Jesus
The Holy Spirit
The Bible
Holiness
Morality

I am by no means perfect and don’t have all of the answers but when I read this I immediately think of the “Christians” that say Jesus would be ok with gay marriage and men or women calling themselves the opposite sex. Or the ones that say you hate someone because you disagree with gay marriage or abortions. They claim if you hate the sin (or even call it a sin), you hate the person themself and you can’t separate the two. Which totally flies in the face of “hate the sin, not the sinner”.

I admit, I could get to the pearly gates and be totally wrong but there’s no evidence that I’m aware of that says Christ would be ok with those things. Of course we still love the person but we don’t agree with what they’re doing.

The Bible does say that no one can knows the date of the return of Jesus, but it never says we shouldn’t look for signs. In fact, it says the opposite and says we should always be in a state of readiness.
Trying to predict a specific date for Jesus’ return or trying to be ready for his return are two different things.

That’s one way to go. I spot the ways I resemble the characteristics in the scripture and feel like I need to work on myself.

I see it your way as well.

Something just happened to me that has shook me to the core. The way some people twist scripture is frightening.

How does this not describe every generation going back a thousand or more years?

This would only be clever if the Bible only spoke in generalities and vague terms, but it does not. There are hundreds of very specific prophecies that are clear and easily disproven if false.

Yeah, it was never like that in the past.

Your OP was literally generalities and vague terms.

It’s not simply about these things being done, but the widespread practice of these traits, how they are done without any remorse or repentance, and how it’s looked upon in a favorable way and not something to be shunned.

This is true, and many people have pointed to current events throughout history to suggest that end times are near

The thing that really get my attention based on today, is that Jesus clearly said that the end days would be very similar to the days of Noah and Lott

That particular scripture is what it is, a description of how things will be in the last days. It isn’t meant to be an exhaustive or all conclusive description of those times.

I have tried to figure all of this out whether it's pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib and can't come up with an absolute. All one can do is be prepared and be the best Christian you can be. I fall short all of the time but I try.
