Austin mass shooting suspect released without bail

SIAP
An 18-year-old arrested in connection to a deadly mass shooting in Austin, Texas, has been released back onto the streets while he awaits trial without having to pay any bail.
Tabb, a gang member who allegedly instigated the shooting and fired at a rival gang member, was indicted in December 2021 for allegedly disposing of the weapon that shooting suspect De’Ondre Jermirris White used in the mass shooting in downtown Austin that killed 25-year-old Douglas Kantor, a Ford Motor Co. employee from Michigan who was in Austin to celebrate earning his master's degree, and left 14 people injured. Sixth Street is the heart of Austin's live music and entertainment scene.
Tabb’s release comes as progressive Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza has faced criticism since taking office last year for releasing violent criminals back onto the streets and declining to prosecute certain crimes.
Douglas Kantor’s brother, Nicholas, tells Fox News that he was "shocked" when he learned Tabb would be free to walk the streets and that Garza’s office should be held accountable for fighting the family "every step of the way."

He’s not a true criminal until after he’s arrested for murder/attempted murder and released and picked up again for possession of weed.

Dude should definitely be held without bail, but he is not the shooting suspect. He was the POS that disposed of the weapon for the guy that shot up the place

Tabb, a gang member

Karma would be the lenient judges and DAs get gunned down by one of their parolees.

"Tabb, a gang member who allegedly instigated the shooting and fired at a rival gang member"
True, but how is this OK? Just because he is a bad shot and didn't hit someone? And then only disposed of an illegal gun used to murder someone?

You want to see how to ruin cities? You don’t have to defund police at all. Simply install idiot DAs that refuse to prosecute criminals and release them back to the streets. Eventually the bad things will outweigh the good and the good will filter out of there and move away. And you’re left with a shithole.

Incredible. These fricking liberal double standards are literally insane.
How much more of an increase in crime do we need to see nationwide before even the most progressive dumbfricks among us realize they fricked up, swallow their pride, and start respecting law and order? How are these people stupid enough to convince themselves that less severe penalties for crimes will result in less overall crime?
Hopefully some gang member will take care of him and save my state taxpayer dollars.

Unbelievable, wow. The justice system is a fricking joke allowing violent criminals like this POS out without bond after killing someone.

To be fair, it's not proven he killed anyone. But he "allegedly instigated the shooting and fired at a rival gang member," and "disposing of an illegal gun involved in a shooting that killed one person and injured 14."
Bad enough that he should never see the light of day until trial, period.

That's what voting 20 times buys you.

He didn't kill anyone. Article headline is bullshite. He was initially alleged to be the shooter, but evidence came forward that he wasn't, and another individual was. Only thing he's accused of doing is getting rid of the gun for the other guy.
Now, you can certainly argue that a $150,000 RoR is an inappropriate bond for the charge, but just wanted to clarify that the headline is bullshite, which is why you got thrown off.

These progressive DAs are the most dangerous politicians in the country right now. Look at every city that has one in power and crime is absolutely skyrocketing.

Yeah I read it closer. I see what you mean.

It should be legal to charge them with malfeasance in office for refusing to do their jobs
