I enjoyed it but the woke vibe is strong already. What am I in for? So far we have Costner outsmarting the heartless horse killer city slicker developer and much hand wringing over the treatment of the native Americans who of course should be handed all land in the US and no they don't need no stinking white savior to help them.
Other than that the show is quite enjoyable. Is it worth sticking around for 4 seasons?

Not sure what you mean with the woke vibe but it’s really good. A little far fetched with what they get away with but it’s got great actors and great writing.

It's not bad.
You probably cannot handle it, should just return to OAN/Fox.

I don’t remember it as woke. It’s a bit of a men’s soap opera though. It’s over the top.

So "woke" just means "anything I see on my TV" now?

shite no.
Good for two seasons or so but then becomes ridiculous in its storyline and utterly preposterous in what some of these people survive.
It held alot of promise in that the first season or two, you got the impression this might be some western, cowboy organized crime family but they're not. They're just rich and want to control shite. That's really it. Not alot of depth or purpose to this bunch at all.
And although Beth is fun to watch for awhile, you'll get to where you can't stomach her. She never changes, has no complexity and she's always obnoxious. I mean always. She's such an unyielding a-hole, that you just stop being entertained by it.
Oh and the woke shite gets a whole lot fricking worse. I mean that shite gets bad, especially with all the Indian bullshite with Casey's wife. Uuugh, that bitch is exhausting.
Oh and some women move into the bunk house and not in a fun way but in an "equal opportunity" girl power sorta way.
That show sucks the big veiny. Just stop now.

Guys go into movies and shows now just waiting for anything to be offended by. I think the only thing these guys don't see as woke is old westerns where you have a white male saving the day from the those evil Native Americans and Mexicans. LOL

It’s amazingly stupid and unrealistic. I couldn’t make it past season one only thing that keep me in it that long was to see the sexy Indian chick naked.
ETA: My wife watched it for a season longer. She graduated high school with the creepy developer’s wife. She got a kick out of her cussing and getting naked. Seems she got into character for that.

I'm trying to get through the first season. I've had a lot of people recommend this show, but it just seems like a family of murdering, soulless rich pricks killing anyone and everyone to get their way. The scenery is pretty and it's well produced, but that seems to be about it. I hung on because I thought it might develop, but from what I've read it just gets worse.
Breaking Bad did this kind of thing well, but Yellowstone seems like a bad comic in comparison.

That's pretty accurate

It is a spinoff of the Game of Thones, but cast in a Rural cosmopolitan Western vibe.

Couldn't finish the first episode last week, may try to pick it up again later.
After the second time Beth went scorched earth on some guy, I needed a break.

I don't know about "woke" problems but its got Sons of Anarchy problems.
"Next week on Yellowstone: John faces tough decisions that could could effect the future of the Ranch."

A number of things pushed the show into the garbage bin for me. Not the least of which is having hot women living in the bunkhouse with a bunch of largely shitbag, criminal men and being treated as "equals".
That shite is so far from the realm of reality, that you might as well go ahead and write flying dragons into the show or space aliens who frick and mutilate their cattle. That shite's much more believable.

it's ok. There is not one redeeming character on the show that I have seen. That is my only real issue. And the daughter is an absolute comic book character who doesn't show her tits enough.

The basic premise of the show is that Costner's character is just the current guy fighting a generations-long property war.
That's about as western as it fricking gets.
If you think Yellowstone is woke, you should probably just stay inside, renew your guns and ammo subscription, and masturbate into your tinfoil cap while Alex Jones screams from your tv.

The first couple seasons were great for the most part, then it started to tail off quickly. Season 4 isn’t even worth watching outside of the first episode.
