I was surprised I didn't see this on the front page, seems like the OT could handle this one.

LINK

This poor woman was picked up still alive and died in the hospital. Whatever pos loser hit her left her to suffer alone in the cold because he's too much of a snowflake to deal with his actions.

Any of y'all have a neighbor suddenly missing a passenger side mirror, turn that pos in.

Looks like they got him.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana State Police arrested a man Sunday in connection with the deadly hit and run crash that killed 30-year-old Leah Tatman in January, according to officials.

According to LSP, troopers arrested Jarrett Rachal, 40, of Prairieville, shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 6. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail for felony hit and run resulting in death and driving with a suspended license.

Mirror should have a serial number that can be tracked to a VIN

We’ve got 13 mutual friends on Facebook so I know a bunch of the same people.

Sad deal.

This is my cousin, we are heartbroken. Thank you for posting.
My heart breaks for and I pray for the person who hit her as well.

Odds that the hit and runner was in a stolen vehicle?

He’ll still get downvoted into oblivion. As he should, this is a tragic local death.

That is awful. I hope they find this son of a bitch and having the side mirror should make it a little bit easier for them. Hopefully someone either notices the truck missing the mirror or if he goes to get it replaced, the people there will be aware.

At first I was just thinking of situations why someone might have not stopped, but he knew he hit something hard enough to take off his mirror. I say he... assuming its a man, but whoever it is.. they are a pitiful human being.

This dude will be in jail by the weekend. They’ll either catch him or he’ll get turned in by someone that knows him.

Walking on Jefferson High near Highland Road. If I’m picturing that stretch correctly, there’s not much of a shoulder or any sidewalk. Isn’t that correct?

Hopefully the local Dodge dealerships & collision shops have been put on notice for anyone seeking to fix their truck’s broken mirror.

So where was she going on that busy road ??

No sidewalks, large swale ditches.

Did she live in those apts and was walking back from the corner store?
