The problem with this is that, since i wasnt born when Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, im then supposed to believe it never happened and was created on a Hollywood soundstage ? There are a million examples of things i have not personally seen or heard, that did indeed occur throughout history.. the answer to what ails America is CRITICAL THINKING, and there is precious little of that currently .

But for the time you’re alive, trust what you see and hear for yourself.

Do not allow, them to gaslight you.

No offense, but you sound like a $cientologist .

Seriously, i have known a couple of $cientologists in my life, and they live by the credo ‘It is only true, If it happens to you’.. i just think it’s a dangerous, miserable way to live if you just refuse to believe ANYTHING that you have not personally seen or heard .

The problem isn't information, it's trust.

Finding advisors and sources of information you can trust is the only way to make educated decisions because you'll never have all the information.

This is why we're in such a bad situation. The media and government have screwed themselves with agendas that drive what information they have shared with us and when. They killed their own credibility and then act surprised when no one trusts them.

I don't know what the answer is, but the heart of the matter is trust, and until it's earned, it's not coming back.

When faced with bad information, the best decision is often to do nothing; maintaining current state.

Don’t get the vax.

I am particularly disappointed in the medical profession.I spent 35 years working in hospitals and while there are bad Drs.,nurses, phrmicists, etc,I felt the medical profession in it’s entirety was a force for good,Hippocraric oath and all that. There are good Drs. to be sure that I trust but they are distinct minority. The profession has become rotten to it’s core. This Covid episode ,to me,is unbelievable. That all the bad actors involved have sacrificed hundreds of thousands of lives by suppressing treatments, trying to ruin ethical Drs.All in the name of greed.
As the Bible says “The love of money is the root of all evil”

Same way with the military ,I’ve lost faith in it and I’ve always been pro military,5 generations served including myself.

It’s disappointing to reach my age,71,and realize that most everything I believed in has turned to shite.

So much so that there are people who still believe the world is flat. And one could find dozens of sites that provide believable evidence to that end.

This is important because it is impossible to make educated decisions without all of the information.

You have to start with a basic truth.
There is a space station above out planet. It shows out planet as being ROUND. When you look at the moon from earth IT IS ROUND, like a ball.
Fly in a plane and let your eyes visibly see the roundness of the earth in the distance. All of this proves the earth is NOT flat.
Look at other planets through a telescope. The Sun is round. Learn about gravity and you will know the earth is NOT flat. Do not engage with the loons who still think it is flat.

Once you listen to certain people speak about a specific topic, and within a year you realize they lied about a large portion of what they were talking about, then it is safe to disregard most of what they said.
Listen, but verify. This is the easiest way to know the truth.
They said "15 days to stop the spread". It turned to 45 days, 3 months, etc. These same people claimed "get the vax and you will NOT get covid." Now we know that is all untrue. No reason to accept anything they claim as a truth. It will most likely be untrue, so you can eliminate them as a source of truth. Look for another source, and verify. IF the source proves to be speaking falsely, then look for another source.

35 years working in hospitals. What exactly did you do? What are your qualifications to know whether or not the denied treatments were effective? You don’t mention anything about how you yourself are a doctor.

Even this is no longer reliable. Unless you're able to be in every situation "first hand" and witness the events for yourself without the aid of someone else's relaying the information.

Short of that I'd say at best you have lass than 50% chance of hearing the truth and if race or politics are involved that goes down to 0% real quick.

How bout you do the same? While you're at it maybe go to Chicago and get whacked on a street corner? Sounds like a workable plan to me. I'll buy your ticket.

Question anything you see on any news platform. They all report with a bias. You're just going to have to learn to assess information and draw your own conclusions. The information is out there. Just don't let the media tell you how you should think about something.

Reality is by locality...

Even worse though, we make terrible witnesses. Cameras up, objective note taking during an event.

Not to disagree with you but I think we are learning we really don't know jack about gravity. Spinning balls do not attract, they repel, so unless you have a trusted physicist to explain it, we have to rely on our bought and paid for "Scientist", to reach a "consensus". and hope it is truth.
