Had 2 big international trips in 2021. Right now all I have planned/ booked is to go climb Mt. Rainier in late April.

Leaving in 9 days for Disney World. Heading to Gulfport in July for wife's extended family reunion. That's about it.

Colorado, near Denver, for a wedding in the spring. Don't know how long we'll stay, probably about week and see some sights.
Yellowstone for a week in July, (a family trip and it's the only time the grandkids can go ). Hope to add a side trip to Glacier NP for the wife and I either before or after YS.
I think we're going to do a road trip to south Florida soon for a week or 10 days.

Hopefully the weather works well for you! I’ve never done Rainier, but have been told April can be amazing or not so much. It’s right when the regular climbing season starts to kick in.

Spain early June here as well. Miami to Madrid. Looping around southern Spain and then flying out of Barcelona.
I can’t wait.

Hope the weather is good this year. Would’ve preferred to go a little later in the season but felt lucky to even get a spot for April after being on the waitlist for a while.

January - Just got back from a very brief stay in Asheville.
February - Waiting to hear the location of my daughter's volleyball tournament. Hoping we can make a fun, long weekend out of it.
March - Santee State Park on Lake Marion in SC. 3 families are "camping" in some over water pier cabins that they have and doing some fishing. (Long weekend)
April - Las Vegas/Grand Canyon/Sedona. We're in the process of taking our daughter to all 50 states and she's never been to NV or AZ. (10 days)
May - Greenville, SC. Hoping that Shakespeare in the Park comes back after 2 years off for Covid. (Long weekend)
June - Northern California (16 days)
July - The Homestead in VA and then on to the New River Gorge in WV for rafting (5 days)
August - Wrightsville Beach for surf camp (1 week)
September - We always do a lake trip in September. Haven't booked an Airbnb yet. Thinking maybe Smith Mountain Lake this year (Long weekend)
October - Bald Head Island (5 days)
November - Florida Keys (6 days)
December - Need to find something Christmas-y in eastern TN or northern GA. Any ideas?

Taking a year off from any big trips. After two really big trips in 2021 that both had to deal with a ton of covid nonsense, I just don't want to deal with it.
This. We did 3 international trips on 2021 and although we had fun we’re skipping international in 2022. We bought a beach home in Perdido Key and gonna slow it down for a while and just chill there. We’re self-employed and can work from there.
Looking at trips within the US and that we can drive to. Maybe Charleston, SC? Mountains TN or NC or out west if we can avoid the Covid vax/unvaccinated BS.

I was in Ushuaia in early March 2020, right before everything shut down, and I saw Antarctica cruise getting significantly discounted (down to under $7000 in some cases). If those cruises are running again, I'd imagine that this is still a really good time to go, in terms of availability and price (still out of my budget).

I need to start a thread on "People that work -- Vacation thread 2022" lol
Some of you guys on this thread are taking more vacations this year than I've taken in the past 10 years. lol
My wife and I generally go on 1 vacation a year for a weekish and then use other vacation days for long weekends etc. (usually just chilling around home)
