I'm voting ABL. Anybody but Landry. That guy is a fricking clown. And Nungesser is too.

Sharon Hewitt? I'd consider it.

John Schroder? Meh. He's a bit of a culture warrior.

Who is young, smart, and has some business savvy? Who will be willing to take on the sheriffs (on sales taxes) and the trial lawyers? Who has the balls to call a constitutional convention?

You better go with Landry if it comes down to these two.

Why is Landry a clown? He’s the only one who actually takes any action and doesn’t just talk shite and the cuck for JBE IMO.

Have Graves and Scalise both declined to run?

Since voting will probably be by mail, Mitch Landrieu will be your next Governor.

Is Gravy going to run after he fails to get the senate seat?

ya'll will split the vote like you always do in 'run offs' and another JBE will get in.

it is so strange looking back at Jindal's Mr Rogers speech, making everyone hate on him. he in hindsight was a good governor.

I bet you said the same thing about the 2 previous Republican candidates. People like you are the reason we are stuck with JBE

I think you are placing blame in the wrong direction. If the LA RNC knows what you just professed; then THEY are the problem.

Jeff Landry will be our next Governor, unless John Kennedy decides to run. Landry is literally the only statewide foil to JBE and has been running for the last few years. If it is Billy, I will just move.

Jindal… he in hindsight was a good governor.

Surely, you can’t be serious. The guy was fricking terrible. He left a fiscal disaster for the state. Raided every trust fund we had to kick shortfall cans down the road so he could claim his Grover Nordquist tax purity status. He didn’t give a frick about Lousiana… just his National Establishment GOP Street Cred. Jindal is partly why we have Edwards. And I had high hopes for the guy.

In the second balloting, Jindal faced the outgoing lieutenant governor, Kathleen Babineaux Blanco of Lafayette, a Democrat. Despite winning in Blanco's hometown, he lost many normally conservative parishes in north Louisiana, and Blanco prevailed with 52 percent of the popular vote.[citation needed]

Some political analysts blamed Jindal's loss for his refusal to answer questions targeted at his religion and ethnic background brought up in several Democratic advertisements,[37][38] which the Jindal campaign called "negative attack ads." Despite losing the election in 2003, the run for governor made Jindal a well-known figure on the state's political scene and a rising star within the Republican Party.

Lol democrats pulling the tried and true birther shite just like hillary did with obama.

I moved back to LA in 2004 and from 2008 on I felt we were doing great. the world was seeing a recession but Louisiana was not.

And he was praised by his response to Gustav. Which for me was still the worst storm that hit Baton Rouge while I was living there.

And Jindal wanted to get rid of income tax, but of course the other vultures in government wouldnt.

Mike Johnson should run.

And ETA - I like the MTG theory of electoral politics. Primaries are where it’s at.
