If you look at the programs/coaches that sustain the highest level of play over a long period of time you will see UCONN, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Baylor (with Mulkey).

And if we are going to go back a bit you can't leave Tennessee (Summit) and La. Tech (Barmore) off that list.

How about Staley saying that Fargas would still be here if the crowd supported her like they do Mulkey.

Typical progressive liberal stegosaurus

Not really related to the thread, but I just made the mistake of looking at Geno Auriemma's wiki page.

UCONN has been to 13 straight Final Fours (6 nattys in that span).

His last title was in 2015-16.

They are on a 137 game conference win streak. Last conference loss was in 2012-13. To be fair, most of those were in the AAC which is God awful.

Props to her, she's the best women's basketball coach in the country. Would not be surprised if BK mirrors her 1st year success.

No kidding. Never seen so much chest thumping due to a loss. And of course in true LSU fashion—blaming the refs. Ref blaming is the richest tradition LSU has. Every game, every sport, every year

It really shows how much great coaching can effect a team's performance. Talent alone can only get you so far

Just to be clear; you are an Alabama fan on an LSU board, in a WBB thread, dickriding South Carolina.

They should limit yall to the SEC rant and your teams message board.

I agree. Just wait till she gets her recruiting program going. I can see some good times ahead. Not doing so bad at the moment with what she was left with. She has lit a fire under them.

Woodward hadn’t necessarily hired my top choice in all his hires since becoming AD, but damn he brings in someone either better or just as good that you don’t expect. Jay Johnson I didn’t expect but love it. He will do great. Mulkey Ofcourse was just a grand slam in every way possible. And Brian Kelly wasn’t in my top ten candidates bc i didn’t even think that was a possibility, but he did it. If I included him in my top football coaching candidates he would’ve been top 2. I hoped for Cristobal 1, Aranda 2 and Napier 3. But Kelly is the most accomplished. Only time will tell if he does better then the others but he was the safest and smartest hire imo

So has anyone asked Staley if their arena was packed to the rafters AFTER they started winning or BEFORE?

There are a lot of seniors on this team. Some of them like Kayla Pointer is just playing basketball while getting her masters or taking classes. I’m not sure many others have graduated. Next season there will be some rebuild unless we get transfers in like Newby
