Way to be an arse.

LSU women’s basketball was at the same level of South Carolina football. We both have new head coaches this season. You guys are thrilled to have eeked into a bowl game and then to win it. What Kim Mulkey has done is beat 3 ranked opponents in her first 15 games on campus. We just lost to your #1 ranked team by 6. That’s like your football losing to UGA this year (your women’s basketball ain’t Bama football ) by a field goal.

Sorry, not sorry for being excited for the direction of the program.

Unfortunately the feisty bunch she has won’t be here

It honestly doesn’t matter. She is a recruiting machine and could make chicken salad out of chicken shite regardless of who she is coaching up.

That wasn’t on the refs.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the game??? The disparity in calls was unreal.

Don’t be cocky Getcocky. The reign for the Gamecocks is coming to a screeching halt. Start coming to terms with that.

Coach speak. Boston threw elbows the whole game and fouled over players' back for rebounds.

Boston is a great player but the shite they let her get away with is almost criminal! She should have been ejected with the elbows she threw alone, forget the fouls that weren't called! I have never screamed at the tv that much for a WBB

Crazy how much coaching affects basketball games

And me not knowing a thing about basketball, I would have honestly never guessed coaching was a huge part. Just can't fathom how a play, plays out on the court.

On a side note. This site needs to put news about the Lady Tigers in the latest LSU news section. I never see the Lady Tigers game scores listed there.

How about Staley saying that Fargas would still be here if the crowd supported her like they do Mulkey.

Yeah...nice play of the race card without coming right out and saying it...

Congrats on the loss

Spoken like a true fan of a school that doesn't know how to win. Enjoy the short lived success at the top of the SEC... We all know it won't last long, and thus why you see excitement from a fanbase that understands greatness BEFORE it occurs.

Honestly didn't surprise me at all coming from Staley. She acted pompous all night on the sidelines, especially with the wearing of the mask, yet every time she spoke she had it pulled down to her chin... She is just salty Nikki is gone and it's Mulkey, who will be a way bigger challenge for her now. She also basically said LSU only played so well bc of the energy and support in the building. Gave Mulkey very little credit for coaching well. Said we were just as good under Nikki but didn't win bc of lack of "support".

Staley has it backwards. The level of play is what brings on the support of the fans. What a really dumb thing to say. She also downplayed CKM's coaching abilities. I'm looking forward to payback.

South Carolina is this years Rutgers in womens BB. If you look at the programs/coaches that sustain the highest level of play over a long period of time you will see UCONN, Notre Dame, Stanford, and Baylor (with Mulkey). Some are successful to a lesser degree but these four have been the dominating forces.
Rutgers was good for a few years then went away.
This is South Carolina. Mulkey's back in town.

7 of our top 8 players on this year's squad are graduate students or seniors. CKM will have a complete rebuild for 22-23. At the very least we know she will get the best out of whatever her squad is next season.

Fargas should've been let go 2 years before they convinced her to go. Not a good coach and not a good recruiter!
Success brings the crowd and they will support you once you have delivered a product worthy of that support!

I did watch the game and then listened to her whole post game press conference. She made a ton of comments about her players not driving enough to draw contact. In fact it was during the last couple minutes with the long 3’s and a few other late possessions.

That amount of rebounding difference isn’t on the refs. It wasn’t only 1 player.
