How long you talkin about?
Anyway, that's one reason I like keto.. feels easy for me. Really, I lost all of my weight with keto in the first 18 months or so, and it's been a terrible juggling act ever since with varying degrees of success. I originally stopped for dumb reasons.. primary driver being developing a beer habit and wanted to get into craft beer. Turned into a passion but also, obviously wreaked havoc on my goals.

I guess my question for you Hulk is have you thought about something that you can sustain. Keto is a quick fix imo, and allows for slippage too easily. I talked about my Thursday binge. Here was yesterday:
No breakfast, just a cup of coffee.
Played two hours of tennis at 10.
Had a sausage breakfast burrito and water.
Drank some water and gatorade.
Had a slice and a half of pizza.
At 430, played 2 more hours of tennis, drinking water along the way.
Celebrated at a friend's house: Had 2 miller lite's and 2 ranch waters. The ranch waters are only 80 calories a can.
Was able to be social, eat fairly bad, but since I was moving and active all day, it went right through me. Had no snacks after that pizza, just the alcohol.
Dude, I get it. Food is the devil to me. Instead of playing tennis or going to lift, I would much rather sit on the couch with a bag of Lay's Chips and a bowl of sour cream and enjoy my evening.
But I am pushing 46, and if I don't make some changes now, it will never happen. I am down 13 pounds since January 1st, and I move better on the court, my recovery is much better, and I feel better. It's like a drug. It makes me want to drop the other 15 or 16 lbs and get down to 175. I still eat what I want, when I want. However, I have changed my lifestyle to eating chicken and veggies at lunch, not eating breakfast (except coffee), and not snacking after dinner. I feel better, I am not overeating, and I feel like I have jumpstarted my system a bit.
Keep at it. I never posted in these threads but I have lurked on this board forever (and when this thread was on the food board), and I have seen your pictures, your progress, your pitfalls. Keep at it man. When you want to eat, drink some water. When you want to binge, think about being able to run around with your kids in 10 years and travel and do the things you want to do.
You can definitely make the change. You will definitely continue to slip up. Just start reducing the slip ups, get moving more, and good things will happen.

I've done keto. I've done weight watchers. I've done just calorie counting. I've done tracking protein + calories. I've counted macros like a pro bodybuilder. Nothing is 'sustainable' unless you make the effort to stick to it, honestly. It's all work because sustainable for me is doing exactly what you mentioned - doing frick all . What has worked best for me is keto and hardcore macro counting, but the hardcore macro counting takes a ton of dedication and time.
Honestly keto is pretty easy for me to stick to most days. Most of my favorite foods are fine to eat regularly, and most of the things I have to eliminate are not a huge deal to me.
But I still can eat too much. I have an absolutely insane appetite. Guess that's one way I got to nearly 400lb to begin with. That's where the drugs come in to help, but I have learned the hard way to not make them a crutch. I already knew that but it's easy to get a false sense of security.
In the line of excuses, I'm also working my full time job and coding on the side. I want to code full time. I knew when I started learning a new skill that I would have to sacrifice my health goals for a little while for the sake of time, but it's taken me longer than I thought to get that job I want, and I find myself wanting to do too many things with my time and having no downtime and getting burnt out.

This is partially true. Keto is my safe place/lifestyle 90% of the time. I can maintain weight and feel amazing when I’m Keto. It also clears up some other health issues for me.
Unfortunately, we live in SWLA where food is fricking delicious and often carb based.
I save my carbs for when we go out or at gatherings. At home and during the work week, I’m fairly strict. Weekends can be fun within reason. Honestly, I can’t handle a bunch of carbs anymore. I drank beer and had pizza yesterday. It wrecked me and isn’t really worth it. The beer was the worst decision. It’s taken me until 39 to figure this out.

My father in law is an avid, staunch ketoer. He has been keto for ~ 8 years now and he's gotten my MIL on board, so that helps. Everyone knows he's adamant about it so big family functions always involve keto dishes. We see the inlaws multiple times a week (my family lives an hour or more away) so it actually can be easier for me to also eat the keto foods.
All that's to say that, outside of drinking, it's pretty easy for me to stick with keto. And I've basically stopped drinking for reasons outside of weight loss. So my biggest hurdle is now.. just stop eating so fricking much. But that's the hardest part of all

Use your weekly circulars from the grocery store. Shop the deals.
Also, go to your local grocery around 8-9am. Search for the managers special section of the meat cooler. It’ll be marked for quick sale. We hit that a lot. Hell, that’s about the only time I eat Filet mignon.

Chicken Thighs, ground meat, flank steak, and sirloin with rice and the sauce of your choice. Add the vegetable of your choice. I eat that all the time with asian style sauces, taco bowls, buffalo sauce, etc.

Honestly wasn't sure what my highest weight was, knew coming back from vacation this past summer I felt "heavy." I weighed myself coming back and was 302 which was unheard of in my world so I started cutting back on my snacking.
Currently 260 and all I've done is cut back on snacking and walking a bit more (from 10k to 15k a day)
I'm tracking everything and continually eat between 1500-2100 calories and trying to add more protein than carbs

I ate some boudin yesterday. Not a lot, but Jesus it wrecked me. My hands and feet feel like the skin is about to burst. My guts feel awful. Ugh, why do I do this to myself. Back on the grind today. My Mounjaro is getting harder to fill. I may be done with it, so it’s all on me now.

Been out of town so I'm getting a late start to the new year. Currently at my all time highest weight and softest belly. Setting my calories at 2700 and starting Maps Aesthetic. I've been really bad about getting steps in so I'm going to start with a 6k steps per day goal
