He’s also Arch Manning’s future college roommate. True story.

I hope they are/will get involved in NIL

"Bollinger Shipyards Sponsorship program" just like the deal for UT's tight ends. Partnership with Bordelon & Chicken?

quote:

The creative “Burnt Ends” program will enable the Longhorns’ tight ends to monetize their Name, Image and Likeness by tapping into the zealous community within the popular Texas message board, Surly Horns, and beyond. Organizers are characterizing this initiative as the nation’s first fully crowdsourced NIL program, with all of the profits funneling directly to the Texas tight end room.

The Burnt Ends program could serve as a blueprint for other large fan bases of the biggest college sports brands.

The brains behind the Burnt Ends operation are two swashbuckling characters, Rob Blair and Rick Vasquez, who are as fluent in NIL legislation as they are in four-letter words. The objective for Blair, the director of sales for a shipping company in Houston area, and Vasquez, a serial tech entrepreneur who owns Surly Horns and is an executive at a Fortune 200 company, is to enable all players in a position group to enjoy the fruits of the NIL era, not just the stars.

While standout running back Bijan Robinson is “going to get taken care of,” Blair told On3, “the fourth-string tight end who’s receiving nothing is who we need to take care of. … It was kind of kismet. It was too easy of an idea.”

Surly Horns states on its website that the mission is to sponsor the Texas tight end room and to maintain yearly endowments to attract and keep top tight end talent in the program.

Here is how the program works: Each tight end will receive the same monthly share. There is a four-figure monthly baseline dollar guarantee for each tight end. Anything crowdsourced above that also will go into the tight ends’ pockets. It’s an August-to-August annual deal, Blair said, meaning that if a tight end switches position

I’m not trying trash this young man, but he would never get a scholarship from LSU if it wasn’t for his family. He was getting pushed around during that OL/DL day.

Hopefully, he grows and develops while he’s here. Good for him for getting a scholarship!

You don't know that.

LSU has signed tons of shite players with way less potential than him.

I could point to several overrated slobs who had 4+ stars and didnt pan out. Bo will build up the right way and will surprise many IMHO......and, make no mistake, dad will be motivating the shite out of him. One thing I'd bet my life on, big money didn't take one iota of Big Ben's fire away.

How can they rank him without a scouting report

All this means is that they haven't assigned someone to do a write-up. It doesn't mean that they don't know who he is or haven't seen him or don't know his strengths and weaknesses.

Bordelon has a good frame. Hopefully he has good work ethic and he is one of those late bloomers that becomes a solid starter for 2-3 years in a 5 year career at LSU.

which LSU should be looking for in their high school oline prospects. You'd rather have to bulk them up than slim them down.

LSU brought in too many guys with weight issues. You need athletes out there, not competitive eaters.

I bet he will work his tail off, go to class, not get suspended for smoking weed, and quit on his team if the season doesn’t go his way. Kelly needs to recruit more kids like this.

I agree. I like it when hardworking local kids get an offer. Hope he does great things at LSU.

So it’s gotten so bad we’re looking for Rudy’s that come from money? Perfect.
