They're an incredible band. I've worn that Pitchfork set out, using it as background music.

I saw them last week at the new venue in Atlanta, the Eastern. So damn good live.

Can someone help me with the pronunciation of the band name?

Not sure if it's correct, but I usually hear it pronounced like "crung bin".

It's hard to believe that the guitar player and the drummer met playing in a church band(and neither was playing the instrument that they currently play) and the bass player had never touched a bass in her life until Mark Speer asked her if she wanted to start a band with him.

Keep having issues with this video on youtube, but what I heard so far is pretty damn promising. Will give this another try tomorrow

They also have a Boiler Room set on youtube that's worth checking out. I like the set list more on Pitchfork but Speer has some amazing solos in that Boiler Room show.

Some of Texas' finest right here. Oddly enough they will sell out venues in other cities around the country and not here, but Houston's weird like that and has never been a great city for live music.

They've been writing and recording in a barn near Brenham for years but slowly seem to be changing with Laura doing more vocals on the last LP. Not everyone will get their music which is too ambient for some, but they can bring it live. Don't let Laura's looks fool you either; she can play and is usually cranked way up in the mix live. The drummer is as tight in the pocket as ZZ Top's, and the guitarist has a style all his own.

If you can't enjoy this song, I don't know what to tell you:
Maria Tambien

That is weird. They did three nights at Red Rocks and sold out

They've built up a pretty big following, but three sold out shows there is impressive. One day I'll make it up there for one, but I'm about to buy a ticket for their NYE show in Houston.

New EP with Leon Bridges in first part of 2022.

I think they shine with a vocalist like Bridges. Texas Sun is one of the best songs of the last few years.
