I'm so happy that LSU hired Woodward. I've never been embarrassed to be an LSU fan, but I was always having to explain why Miles, Orgeron, or Manieri made some bone headed decision.

I'm not saying our coaches won't make head scratching decisions, but I can guarantee that we'll never hear BK utter the phrase..."I didn't interview him".

It's refreshing to see this level of professionalism in all sports at LSU.

It may take some time, but I'm excited to see how this translates to the field. I think it will be worth the wait.

The LSU football coach is by far the most visible person in the entire state of Louisiana and reflects strongly on the state. Ed Orgeron was a horrible ambassador for the state unless you like your state being mocked and fulfilling every water boy stereotype.

PM was the most frustrating, to me. I’m excited for baseball for the first time in a decade.

You’ll be depressed after our first loss when half the board or more becomes irrational and hysterical. But I agree. This is the “culture” I want, a culture of competence and professionalism.

He did bring us 2019, but I don't think he understood that people were laughing at him, not with him.

You have low expectations.

Honestly I think this is partly why the media hates Kelly to LSU so much, this is gone now

Oh LSU has given the talking heads so much content over the years. Even in the lean years they talked about LSU because of some wacky thing Les or O had said or done. Those two were great for business. At any given moment our head football coach could be:

Eating grass
Digging in his ear
Rambling about hydrating at a molecular level
Challenging people to fights
Screaming profanities about how LSU owns bama
Talking about the best places to dispose of dead bodies
Going balls deep in his on campus poon palace

this happens at bama. It happens for everyone.

I think Kelly will be awesome but when he went off on the sideline on one of his players he was ridiculed big time. Probably more than any LSU coach has been. There were thoughts ND would fire him for embarrassing ND. ND definitely reigned him in and admonished him after that.

for the first time in 17 years LSU will have a coach that won't be mocked nationally for being a complete clown. Won't be blasted all over ESPN eating grass on the sidelines and giving the most bizarre press conferences and also won't be all over social media shirtless posing with sluts. We should all be happy and proud lol

I see this brought up on the board often and I really do not think you guys understand what Coach O is REALLY saying when he uttered this phrase.

I am NOT an O apologist and am very VERY glad we have CBK and agree with the firing of O and hiring of CBK

But that statement he made is basically telling everyone he WASNT GIVEN any input into the hire. When I read that I read "Scott hired Pelini"

It has been heavily inferred by O's boy Tbob on Off teh bench often and even in the Post game whiskey and wines between Scone and Tbob

I never really thought of that, but is sounds like the most likely scenario. That's almost worse though because it sounds like he's throwing Scott under the bus.

I remember when Saban lost to UAB and Auburn in his first year. The world was going to end! Next season is purely rebuilding. IF…LSU loses 3-4 games so be it. Kelly’s 3rd year will be his true test. My take is the sky is the limit. I’m excited.

I don't view it as "he did bring us 2019", just because he was breathing as LSU's coach in 2019. You need to understand that with Joe B. and supporting cast of players and assistant coaches, the Naty was ours with the Pillsbury Dough Boy on the sidelines with a headset.

No doubt. I'm expecting the next few years to be bumpy. I'm not expecting a smooth transition. Think about how daunting a task it is to change the entire culture of a program. He has to find the right coaches. He has to find the right players. He has to develop relationships and trust from scratch. That will take time and a lot of work.

Few coaches in the country would be up to the task. Luckily for LSU, I think they found one of the few.

Exactly this. So tired of LSU’s football coach being ESPN moron talking head fodder. May take some time but it’s worth it for a chance to be a respectable program for the first time in a LONG time.

Can we stop with the hyperbolic “Rebuild the Entire Program” BS please? I mean jesus man, LSU’s 2 seasons removed from an undefeated NC & the GOAT CFB Team & Season!

Yes the Swamp Monster has basically been driving the program backwards, at full speed since 2019 BUT even with that CEO is certainly not sticking Kelly with a bunch of Talentless, Losers that aren't “SEC Ready”.

Kelly should have us in good shape for the SEC & CFP Championship’s in a couple years!
