And LSU called his bluff. He walked.

I’m not saying I want him gone. Im going to get down voted to shite. I’m not saying he’s not worth the money. But every year like clock work. There was a rumor of someone poaching him. We sweat. Give him a bump.

Rinse and repeat next season.

It stings he’s going to be with those losers in Jorts but at a certain point if you want to be here stop shaking us down every season.

This is a total reboot of LSU football. Something’s are going to be more painful than others. Roots have to come up with the stump.

Loser move heading to Florida. He honestly wasn’t even good last couple years for us. We will be more than fine

Lmfao I shouldn’t be surprised that this board is even pretending it’s okay with losing Corey Raymond.

There is no limit to the homeristic delusion.

It's ok to be disappointed with things. We are old enough and mature enough to not have to sugar coat everything

Exactly. I said this in another thread but I'll repost here:

this board is too much. We go from Woody is a shite AD for missing on Riley to Woody is god again for hiring Kelly. Then we go from Kelly is great to Kelly sucks because no assistant coaches have been named to Kelly is a god for hiring Wilson, and now we are back to everyone turning on Kelly.

I am not a fan of losing Raymond but we haven't even seen how the final staff will look when it's all said and done. Everyone needs to take a deep breath around here.

Then bump him. But hey we kept our pride.

It has to be that. Raymond got an offer, LSU declined to match and he took the extra money to still coach DBs.

No reason to be downvoted, Raymond made his choice and LSU will just win titles without him. There are other great DB coaches and recruiters out there.

Is it really a shake-down when the money is being earned? Other than Bo's dumpster fire let me know the last time DB's were an issue to be concerned about.

And it wouldn't be a problem but you then don't go out and hire this bum kerry cooks.

I’ve seen nothing suggesting he was trying to get a raise, stop blowing smoke.

Random said last week Raymond was gone

Yep. Getting rid of the cancers. People don’t always like it but it’s better for the program to purge these people.

He’s not irreplaceable

Losing his recruiting prowess will be a tough one. He is a great recruiter of DBs

Raymond was great for awhile, but any objective observer knows the last two years have been bad and that was with Stingley and Ricks before they left.

We all wanted change. Well, we are getting it. Quit being a bunch of soft keyboard bitches.

Kelly has done this plenty of times, hell he did it after a losing season at ND and had 10 wins the very next year.

Welcome it, embrace it. Cause in about 2 yrs you are going to admire what he did.

There was years where he had rumors of leaving and never got a bump. There's years he was criminally underpaid and the lowest on the staff so no, you're wrong on him getting bumps every year. Just pay him and be done with it.

As he should. Watching an administration throw around money at idiots and buyout and millions for failed coordinators while you consistently bring in top recruits, have db’s taken in the first round every other year and remain one of the only stable pieces of the puzzle hell yes I’d bring them back to the table too. Being a college DB during Corey’s tenure at LSU I can’t even explain how respected that guy is and I was coach by travaris robinson who’s also close to Corey. Corey’s the Don of DB coaching man and part of what he’s established over the years sadly wont be realized until he’s gone.

Judging by the upvotes, there is hope for the Tiger fan base.

Hate to see him go, but he’s not the only guy who knows how to coach top notch DBs. Let’s get another one and keep rolling.
