The only reason you get fired for something like this is if you broke the law while doing it. Petrino broke state hiring laws when he created a job for his side piece and didn’t interview more qualified candidates. Freeze broke the law by using a school-issued cell phone to hire escorts.
If this does turn out to be true, but no laws were broken, USC won’t move on.

Idk anybody that expects USC to get rid of him for an affair with a woman of legal age and consent, but it’s still a major blemish on his rep, and ties things together that didn’t make much sense.

I wonder if there are any recruiting messages mixed in the texts? I don't know why people are dumb enough to use a provided phone for incriminating texts but if there is evidence of Riley recruiting for USC while still at OU he could be gone.
The way he shite on OU I could see them going scorched earth.
So he could have to deal with a scorned mistress that's pregnant, a scorned wife that gets half of his shite, and a scorned University that costs him his cushy new gig. That's would be quite the hat trick.

True. Also adds to OU’s LR is the scum of the earth narrative to help them cope with their HC that left for greener pastures.
This whole situation definitely reminds me of the “recruiting violations/compliance issues” and the “drake concert to announce Dabo/Venables” rumors. OU continues to sound like a jealous ex wife making ridiculous, emotional accusations… and I’m here for it.

The only thing, and it’s a standard thing every school does, is OU is looking into the texts and emails of the staff, to make sure there was no deal with USC during the bye week. Similar to most coaches, there’s a clause in the contact that states if you or your agent is approached by another school, you have to let your current one know.
Most get around this by having the agent speak to someone who is speaking on behalf of the school. So nothing will come of that either, except maybe Roy manning if he was dumb enough to use his university phone to talk to USC recruits.
