ETA: Both my parents worked, so being sick meant I was left home alone. Also, too sick to go to school for my parents meant I was throwing up.

Cinnamon toast for breakfast, cartoons, Buckskin Bill, and game shows.
Chicken soup, saltine crackers, and ginger ale for lunch. A nap and then afternoon game shows like Tattle Tales and The Newlywed game. Afternoon cartoons and then dinner.
Good times.

Confined to my room, we didnt have tv in the home, so I read all day.
The worst part is no outside after school. Hearing all my friends playing outside was enough to never stay home sick again, regardless of how I felt.

Crazy shite always happened when I stayed home sick. I was home sick watching TV both when the Oklahoma City bombing happened and the WACO siege. There was a break in programming for special report both times.
