I don’t know why people bitch over what the weatherman or the app says. It’s for a large area not just what’s going on at your house. Why does it hurt to warn people hey be aware that shite might happen? Be an adult, check for yourself, and move on.

A freeze warning is for an entire parish where it might get to freezing that morning. While it’s dumb the warning isn’t cut up, that’s the way they do it. It’s dumb because in a place like EBR it could be 10 degrees warmer in south EBR compared to north EBR but you’d still be in the freeze warning, much like your example.

You have to take in to account urban vs suburban/rural temperature differentials. For example, I'm always a few degrees colder than my city's official reading, which is at the airport. It could be 38 at the airport and 32 in my backyard.
