if one day all human beings woke up one day and were no longer able to lie.

Not a high thought... just watching cop videos of people telling one lie after another to these cops while the cops know they're lying their asses off.

If we lost the ability to lie, govts would fall, people would hate one another. The enormous fakeness of the world and people will be revealed.

It would be fascinating.

People start to flame out when the WiFi goes off. I'm guessing moments for some. I could probably last a month, but at two weeks I'd kill me or my wife.

It is a high thought.. I'm just not high.

I've realized I'm becoming more honest as I age. Sometimes I say things I probably shouldn't say, or confront people when I shouldn't.

Standing in the line at the convenience store the other day, and an older gentlemen had one of those big gulp drinks. While he was checking out, he peeled of the straw wrapper and just dropped it at his feet.

I said some stuff to him. Wanted to shove that wrapper down his throat.. I don't like people who trash up things.

There goes 99.99% percent of current and former (back to say 1980) Congress, SCOTUS, and POTUS.

If you do not fake now, life would not change.

More like liberating.

Vonnegut had a short story in which everybody suddenly developed telepathy and knew everybody else's thoughts. And couldn't block them out. The human race was quickly wiped out in a mass suicide.

Fortunately, it's easy to avoid Facebook.

OK kids. This is why you never eat too many of the mushrooms that grow on the cow patties. Just let them grow where they are.

I prefer the society in which everyone has to walk around with their net worth on their forehead

It really is amazing how many lies people tell. Mostly little white lies, but we lie a lot. To save ourselves a little bit of embarrassment, to not hurt someone's feelings, to make other people happy. So many reasons to lie.

Maybe that's why social media is such a force. People get on here and be who they really want to be. We can be the biggest pricks on here without repercussions. Anonymity.

People are likely to be less "volatile" when using real names of course. I don't have facebook, but don't a lot of people use their real names on there?

At the beginning of covid it was Mad Max Fury Road to get frickin toilet paper for a virus that didn't require toilet paper

Thus, I don't have that much faith in the strength of the society

Similar to many things in life, it will happen slowly and then all at once.

There would be absolute chaos of all our electrics were suddenly not working anymore. I have read theories on weapons that will do this or possibly a massive solar flare type thing.
I have been thinking about getting a car that is old that does not have all the electrical stuff in it.

I hope you have the skills to keep that car in the time of need.
