Based on the jet’s last-known position and in coordination with the FAA, we are focusing our attention north of JB Charleston, around Lake Moultrie and Lake Marion.

F35 FOUND: Debris field located near Williamsburg County in search for missing F-35 fighter jet, officials confirm.
WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD)- Officials with Joint Base Charleston confirmed that debris from a F-35 fighter jet that went missing Sunday has been located near Williamsburg County.
The search began Sunday after a pilot was found on South Kenwood Drive in North Charleston after safely ejecting from the passing plane.
Joint Base Charleston said the incident involved “mishap” involving an F-35B Lightning II jet from Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron (VMFAT) 501 with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. George
