Powder King Mountain Resort The properties are remote, located 67 kilometres east of Mackenzie and 195 kilometres north of Prince George.
The ski resort, according to the listing, has been rated number 1 for snow in Canada, getting an average of 12 metres of snowfall each winter. In total, there are 364 hectares of skiable terrain, comprised of 37 runs serviced by three lifts.
Accommodations at the ski resort include a 50-room hotel, two cabins for staff, a lodge with a licensed pub and a cafeteria. The possibility for expansion is built in, the online listing says, noting the resort has a master plan with the province.
"There is a three-phase development plan which allows for land acquisitions, real estate development, commercial development, ski runs, lifts, and summer recreation activities," the realtor's website says.

I’m pretty sure it’s public land that is leased. The sale price is for buildings and equipment.

That price tag suggests lots of repairs and facility updates/upgrades are needed.

Y'all know how hard it is to get to Interior BC/Canadian Rockies from Atlanta ?
So many sick ski areas up there- Fernie, Kicking Horse, Panorama, Revelstoke etc but in terms of effort travel/time you get more utility going to Japan.

It's the middle of nowhere so probably not a great investment if you want to run it as a business.
But if your stupid rich and want a private resort for family and friends...

They know that global warming means the snows will soon stop. Maybe they can make the mountain into a 4x4 mud truck course.

It’s in deep Canada. Most of the well traveled resorts like Whistler are further south, between Vancouver and Calgary.

Yea, lots of kooks and gapers spending $10K on trips to Whistler only for it to rain on the lower 2/3s of the Mtn the entire time

This would be my Cartman/Funland moment.
I would buy it to enjoy all by myself and then realize I had to let a few people in a day to pay for the cost to run it. Rinse and repeat until I was standing in lift lines just like before and $7.9 million poorer for the privilege.

Clearly these Canadians don’t know business. Time to show them what an English speaking white guy and 13 honest Hondurans can accomplish together.

Can I finally live out my 80s/90s B-movie fantasies?

Buy it and make a documentary about a newly purchased ski resort that needs work and expansion.
