The temp here broke 100 noonish, and never looked back.

My A/C is running continually and can't get the house below 75. Thermostat is set at 72.

That pig better not quit on me. Next week is supposed to be brutal

You should consider a couple window units and a fan or two.

Call your electric company and see if they’ll do an energy audit, I did that and got a bunch of free stuff including some extra attic insulation installed.

If they won’t fix your stuff for free they will probably give you a reduced rate on stuff like blown-in insulation. They quoted me half of what the insulation company did. Insulation company wanted $1,200 and the electric company contractor was about $600.

Sounds like it's doing pretty well. 3 degrees off in this kind of weather ain't terrible.

It's 105 here, I'm set on 72 with the house at 75 right now. Had a new unit put in last year. The old one would probably be carrying 77-78 in these Temps.

I hear you. 75 is fine with me. I am hearing it from the wife with the first world problem.

It's 109 here in Oklahoma. It's nice inside but can't do a damn thing out in this heat right now.

It's still blowing cool, but it's a knife fight with the sun today.

I gave the coils a good pre-rinse, then a liberal squirt through all the micro channels with Simply Green, let is stew for fifteen minutes, followed by a steady rinse couple Wednesday evening.

Sucker feels like it’s output doubled.

Heads up, baws
Don’t forget to do it.

Maybe you should give it a break and set it to 76.

I think that a big problem is that A/C units aren’t rated to reflect extremes like we’re having. If it’s running constantly and still can’t keep up, common sense would say that you need a bigger unit. That probably wouldn’t be necessary outside of these extreme conditions.

73 and no one is even home.

It was 74. Figured the dog might be a bit warm.
