If Pulisic is hurt and Reyna doesn't replace him, GB is clearly on his period for some reason.

If Pulisic can’t go and Gio doesn’t play it’s a fireable offense

I remember when Sampson left John Harkes off our team in 98. Easily a top 5-10 talent in our entire country at the time. The player and coach hated each other and couldn’t get past it. I feel like some of that is going on with Reyna and CB.

It’s weird how nobody at fox covering the tournament is questioning why Reyna isn’t playing. Something is going on imo. Lalas and Dempsey are praising Berhalter likes he’s some sort of soccer genius.

Before the second game Matt Doyle tweeted that Gio Reyna wouldn’t be playing a large part in this WC. I’m starting to wonder if his hammy is more fricked than we realized or if Gregg is actually insane.

LOL that’s not why Harkes was kept home.

Friend,

John Harkes broke one of the laws God commanded to Moses on Mount Sinai with the wife of Eric Wynalda. The coach made the right call.

It depends how healthy pulisic is.

anyone that thought Reyna was gonna be subbed in when we were up 1-0 and 30 minutes from advancing to knockouts was just being naive.

every sub we made to see this out was to sure up our defense and close it out. Reyna is one of our best players but also he is mainly an attacking option. I wouldn't read anything into him not playing today

I would have really appreciated seeing him come on for Musah at 75 minutes. Dude was dead and we could have used his ability in possession to slow things down and give our guys a rest.

Exactly, and when an opportunity arose, to give us a better chance to seal the game.

Bunkering just gives up. It's so mind-numbingly stupid.

We had 4-5 opportunities to score but had AA, unskilled Wright and a dead Musah

They both hated the subs and didn't hold back about it. They gave him credit for getting out of the group and having good plans against Iran and Eng.

Bunkering is the soccer equivalent of running the ball three times for 4 yards and punting to the other side after they’ve burned all their timeouts but still have 90 seconds left.

There’s a time and place but coaches do it way too much.

shite today was like we did that from the middle of the 3rd quarter on

Iran didn't get many good opportunities UNTIL we bunkered.

This is my take. When there is a medical issue in any sport it’s always talked about. By the coach, player, even doctors. It’s so easy for Greg to confirm if he or the doctor doesn’t think Gio is 100%.

Also I don’t follow the bundesliga, but I just looked and he was involved in 3 of the last 5 matches.

Idk if he got a knock but I don’t remember hearing ab it. It all just seems fishy.

Uh brother, you should look into why Harkes was dropped.

If Reyna is healthy and doesn’t play it’s a fireable offense. There aren’t 5 players in our entire player pool better than a healthy Reyna.

We’ve scored 2 goals in three games. If reyna is healthy he needs (and should have seen the field).

I actually believe he’s not healthy. It would be psychotic and lockerroom suicide for Berhalter to just bury Gio when he can help the team achieve its goals
