Berhalter will prove to be this team’s and his own worse enemy.

I thought it was injury

But I don't think so after watching the celebration vids from after the game today. There was no celebration in him. He is clearly furious

I agree. I don’t think he’s healthy at all

I mean I’m not saying you’re wrong about the games he has played for Dortmund but nearly every soccer analyst that speaks English is completely shocked he hasn’t played more and is basically our Foden, a guy that’s ultra talented but can’t seem to find the field

I wish Gio was as good as Foden, hurt or not

In 2 years, when he’s the age Foden is now, he could very well be. Has to stay healthy, though.

Was the original plan to sub him. but then pulisic gets a knock. And Gio would be a good replacement for Puli.

On the ESPN FC podcast, Casey Keller said he texted Gregg that he “wanted to strangle Haji Wright through his television” when he didn’t take it to corner.

He said Gregg responded with a laugh emoji

Some folks are really going with “Gio sucks” as the explanation for him not playing?

During the on field celebration he had a big smile and high fived Berhalter pretty clearly. I didnt see him being furious at all.

Oh yeah. I didn’t think this was that much of a hot take. However you might get berated for not watching every dortmund game if your not happy with Gios playing time.

Reyna is one of our best players but also he is mainly an attacking option.

His position is attacking, but that doesn't mean he isn't capable of recognizing the situation and what that calls for.

I'm of the opinion that the best defense is holding possession of the ball yourself, which is what he definitely could have done with a gassed Musah.

Pulisic is day to day.

Gio has “tightness”

If Pulisic starts or plays meaningful minutes, and Gio doesn’t, then we will know for sure Greggg thinks Reyna is not a useful player.

We could use some of that aggressiveness to score at forward
