I agree with you but there really hasn't been very many CFP contenders in that conference to challenge them before TCU this season.
TCU and Baylor were both close in 2014.

No question it is aTm. They have more money than they know what to do with, think they are truly god's gift to football, they now have the most expensive coaching, player and otherwise payroll, they have ESPN on 24 hour BJ rotation and they haven't sniffed any kind of championship game in a century.
