I was one of the lucky ones that were in that number. I remember that weekend in the city as one of the best times of my life. As a 13 year old who had been lucky enough to go to most home games since I was 4 years old I'll never forget the pure joy I felt to see LSU reach the top of the mountain. It did suck that we were on top of the Oklahoma band and had to hear Boomer Sooner played 5277343434373 times.

I was there with my husband, also an LSU grad. Tears streamed down my face when the clock went 0:00. My father died three years before believing he would never see another championship. My brother died the year after him, but he was only five when we one in ‘58.

Casino ballroom separated from the Oklahoma crowd by rope down the center aisle. Harrah's maybe. I remember they were so mad at Stoops.

I was at the game that night. Sold programs before the game so I could get in the dome. Once the game kicked off, I turned in my unsold programs, changed into my LSU gear that a friend brought to the game and disappeared into the student section. Was an amazing game.

I was there in the Dome, with late dad, Brother and nephew. It was an awesome atmosphere and great game. Unforgettable memories. My brother sprang for the tickets, wouldn't tell me what he paid but justified it by saying we may never have the chance to witness LSU play for the title in our own back yard, lol! Little did he know it would happen 3 more times in the next 20 years.

Daegu S. Korea. It was a Tuesday morning there so I had to take a day off to watch...

I was in the French Quarter right now. I think I headed into the dome right around when they were letting people in. It felt like an eternity waiting for the game to start once we got to our seats.
It was one of the best days of my life.

Waiting on the State Police to ferry a ticket (not mine) that one of my party left under his Christmas Tree in an unopened package in Shreveport.
