Why Bother recruiting High School Quarterbacks?

What's the point?

It's a valid point. Freshman QBs suck anyway. Just recruit transfers and you should be ok

Just tamper 25 kids each year. There are no repercussions, only benefits. The kids can't transfer again without sitting a year or graduating.

Because you sometimes get a Stetson Bennett. Nuss seems like the guy to stay through any and all adversity.

They’re staying and developing at Alabama and Georgia, so idk what the frick the rest of the schools are doing

Lol. Ever hear of a guy named Jalen Hurts? How about Justin Fields? Or Jacob Eason?
Stetson also transeferred from Georgia but then came back as a walk on. So even he didn’t stay his entire time.

Are you trying to jinx us?

So here is the thing, BK said he wants to build the program from the HS ranks and sprinkle in xfers as needed.
He had his QB for that purpose and basically drove him away somehow.
I think it was wrong after the bowl for him to say JD was the starter.
In the fall, there should be competition and may the best many win.

Every starting QB in the playoffs went to their school out of high school.
4 of 5 QBs of P5 champion teams went to their school out of high school. The only exception is Cam Rising at Utah played at Texas as a freshman.
Out of 10 QBs in P5 conference championship games, 7 signed out of high school.

Stetson Bennett would look like Brandon frickin Harris if he was anywhere else. If he’s playing for TCU the other night, he looks worse than Duggan.

This argument is made with three simple words:
Joseph Lee Burrow
Joseph Lee Burrow

Backwards.
Came as a walk-on, went to juco and came back as a scholarship qb.

They'll stay where the money is and a real chance at a title. But more so.... the money.

Well especially when you factor in the amount of money and time it took recruiting Howard.
Such a waste of time, money and resources.
College Football better get it together

You ALWAYS want to build your team around recruiting. You don’t know what’s in the portal, and who’s to say the NCAA won’t make changes at the drop of a hat?

Both schools have taken and lost multiple transfer QBs over the years. Both will likely lose one after spring.
You don’t have to make obvious false statements to prove a point.

Guess he didn't want to mislead anyone on.
