Yeah I suspect not many people could say that to DW and live to tell about it

Didn't he get in a fight with DW or another linebacker in one of his first practices at LSU? I remember the whole team rallying around him after that.

Whenever people talk about his toughness, the first thing I always think is “this is the guy who tried to fight Miami in the tunnel before his first game at LSU.”

I just looked it up. It was JaCoby Stevens - I had forgotten all about that. Wouldn't doubt if he mixed it up with Delpit too

It wasn't too long ago I heard an interview with an O Lineman, where he was asked when did they know Hoe Burrow was a leader. The Response was the first practice. When asked why, the response was because he started picking fights with the D Linemen.

Had nothing to do with Joe beating Devin but everything to do with squaring him up and saying “let’s go”. There’s respect in that.
