I just rewatched that game. Forgot what thugs the entire UCF team was during that game. Kudos to “the spitter” that turned Joe into Beast Mode. It never left.

Joe was going to be the Joe we saw in 2019 with that hit or not. That hit just made him a legend.

Joe did this kind of stuff to rally the offense around him

He also got into tussles with defensive players early on which established him as a fighter. It worked and the guys rallied around and fought for him.

Of course, if you don’t throw good, none of that matters
