Anyone else hear that he is the #1 candidate for ULM job?
And that a deal could be made before end of the year?

I think that would be a great hire!!!

Sounds like someone is angling for a raise down in Zachary.

They might wanna throw in a few extra cheeseburgers to sweeten the pot.

the only thing is, how much of Zachary’s success is him and how much of it is simply Zachary... given the situation, maybe a bunch of 5A coaches could have a dynasty there

High school route might be better than anything ULM could find in college ranks
At least he knows high school recruiting

I know not a 5a coach, but Neal Weiner did not have the success at Zachary right before Brewerton

Interesting. Regularly destroys WM. Now speculation he goes to coach at ULM. Full circle.

Ulm might as well shut down athletics if that's a serious consideration.

did they have this kind of success with the previous regime? Brew has won everywhere he has been...

Short answer is no. They have made the quarterfinals last 4 years in a row. HE has come in and installed a program from middle school up.

There is no truth to this. This is probably what West Monroe fans are wishing as it looks like Zachary will end West Monroe’s season once again this year.

If ULM is going to hire a high school coach, then it should probably be Gabe Fertitta from Catholic, or McCarty from Neville. In the end they shouldn’t hire a high school coach though

Brew is a damn good coach. He “coach’s up” the hand he gets every year. Granted he has some damn good local talent , but he puts out a consistent team every year. He did it last year with a young (sophomore?) QB and skill team.

Gabe is also a solid coach. His kids are extremely well prepared and play disciplined ball. They out execute more athletic teams.I think his results are skewed by the fact that Catholic “helps disadvantaged kids”. Take away those every year and he isn’t nearly as successful.

He lost to West Monroe in 2016, just saying.

I heard rumors of Brewerton to ULM a couple days ago. But I doubt they are true.

Just heard there is some weight to this. Maybe I was wrong before. Supposedly they are just waiting to work out the details.

Brew was a damn good assistant coach for Redemptorist, and was part the original Sid Edwards group when he arrived.

He brought Livonia from a unknown school in the sugar cane fields to the Superdome.

You can just go ahead and say what you wanted to say here. That you don’t think black kids belong at catholic high.

“no student is refused admission or asked to leave Catholic High School solely because of his family’s inability to pay tuition.” Don’t see why anyone would have a problem with that.
