But why would O even want to hire Ensminger, even if he can?

It’s very simple, O is extremely insecure because he’s not cut out for the job. He’d rather Ensminger, old, wise LSU booster favorite in his ear telling him “your the best, you can do it” more than a young hot shot like Canada saying “get the frick out of my way and let me do what you’re paying $1.5/year to do!”

I would think O would would want an OC who will take care of that side of the ball.

LSU kind of has this with Aranda, which is O’s side of the ball.

Does not compute

It does make sense to me. Edwards wasn't just at the bowl practices, he flew to the Tennessee game on the team plane, and who knows when else he's been around Orgeron, someone mentioned commercials.

O is trying to curry political favor and backing. O needs the BOS to support him; the BOS needs the governor to support them.

I doubt the OC hire is the reason for this, I think O is trying to loosen the leash. If there is some question of letting him go, his buddy JBE can say "come on, give my buddy a little more time".
Of course, unless Edwards is reelected, it's a shortsighted plan; but I definitely can see this happening now. Edwards even made a point of praising O's hire, so maybe there was some shite at work behind the scenes a couple years ago.

This is stupid. People are blaming Edwards because he’s a democrat and they don’t like democrats. That’s fine, but realize you’re being foolish.

Plenty of people here are mad at Jindal. He's the one who brought in FKing and Amoeba.

But he's not here anymore. It's JBE's job to get rid of people who aren't performing.

The good news is there’s a 95% chance Jeff Landry will defeat JBE in fall of ‘19. The bad news is, that leaves Fred fricking Flintstone in charge of LSU football until Jan 2020!

The entire power structure was put in place by Jindal. Like most things going wrong in this state, they go back to Jindal.

There’s a whole lot of warmth in her face in that picture. See how tight she’s gripping his hand? Hmmmmm

Said this the day he visited. It’s just to save his job next season and give him till the end of 2019.
Break even or losing record will be his demise.

Does this remind anyone of Texas and Mack Brown? Seems there are lots of hands in the cookie jar.
