Yet another Canada thread - 3 options for how I think it plays out

This is what I think is happening.
- Canada hates O. O hates Canada.
- O wants Canada to get a new job. Canada wants a new job.
- LSU will not pay Canada $3 million just to get rid of him.Canada will not leave $3 million on the table just to leave.
- Both sides are working to try to find a landing spot for Canada. So far though, options are very limited. I think they're hoping there are some coaching shuffles after the bowls and once the NFL season ends and Canada can scoot on out.
My prediction for what ultimately happens:
Outcome 1: Canada gets another job making less and LSU pays the difference. So instead of a $3 million buyout maybe it's half.
Or
Outcome 2: Canada can't find a job so he stays one more year and all year is undermined by O having Ensminger run the offense with Canada just sitting around as a lame duck.
That would be a disaster situation imo.
Or
Outcome 3: Both men act mature and realize it's in their best interest to just put egos aside for one more year. Canada does his thing. O lets him. Canada raises his profile and it's easier for him to bolt.
Will be really interesting to see the offense in the bowl game. Will Canada or Ensminger be calling plays?

very insightful...
you literally named every scenario that could happen

O hires his guy that he trusts not to take risks on offense....sound familiar.
O heard the whispers after Troy. He's about to lock it down like his predecessor.

Outcome 4: make Aranda HC, leave Canada as OC, and Oegeron the DL Coach.

So pay him to not coach. Which would be the same as firing him and paying the buyout, essentially.

Lmao. They don't hate each other.

Serious question, how do LSU fans feel about this stuff? Is Canada not as advertised or is this a concern or not with staff?

Ensminger run the offense

The whole thing is immature and stupid. For 3 million dollars they both should get along.

O hired the guy. It’s the guy he wanted. Let O figure it out. Freeze and O, together, worked out terribly last time...why would it be so much better this time around?

for the deal O has , I would keep my mouth shut, count my lucky stars, Let Canada and Aranda Coach, and bide my time.
O needs to remember no one was trying to hire him except JA and if he loses the LSU job no one is going to want to hire him-
Why is it that a coach gets paid millions to play a game and he thinks that makes him smart
Check the ego at the door

Canada does not have the option to stay & ride it out. He got caught playing Damian Craig on the recruiting trail & will either be fired or he will quit after the bowl if he lasts that long.

Pretty sure Craig was recruiting for a different team while still employed. My guess is Canada was pulling a Cooper.

You left out a scenario:
Canada fired for cause. No buyout (or at least negotiated substantially down).
Word is he has F’d up.

I cannot see O surviving any of these outcomes. It seems like he's created a toxic working environment.
