Absolutely. Lane had a lot of early success that he wasn't prepared for. Only dumbass Al Davis would give a 31 year old a head coaching job in the NFL.

I truly believe that, unlike Orgeron, Lane has learned from his mistakes and is a very good coach.

I'm almost tempted to say yes just because I know the offense would be better, but I don't think Lane is a good choice just because the man has loyalty issues. He'll bolt just as soon as he gets the chance at something he thinks is a little bit better situation. I actually think the guy is a good coach in general other than that though.

Not just no, but hell no! He is toxic. Didn't want him as OC either. Don't want him anywhere near LSU.

If we hire Kiffin, we may as well change our turf to blue and our uniform colors to highlighter yellow and fluorescent purple because we will be a gimmick school, like Oregon and Boise St

Let’s rebuild our program the right way

Wouldn't consider it for a second given what he did at TN. Nope.

In a heartbeat. His desire to beat Nick Saban is what this team needs

you know O and Kiffin will talk about all of it. Why would any head coach want to come here and deal with all of this crap?

Kiffin knows damn well how much smarter he is than Orgeron. Kiffin wouldn't try to hire unhireable people and is capable of thinking outside the box.

We are all friends with people that we know we're a lot smarter than.

Which is funny because UT people wanted him back this year

Well, in all fairness, they weren't sure they were going to find anyone at some point during the search.

In the event Aranda wasn’t offered the job, would you be okay with Lane taking the reigns?

Without a doubt if he makes any improvements at FAU from yr 1 to yr 2 to me it is an easy decision. Now if he back tracks, causes drama, etc then I'd have to pump the brakes.

Like you said this assume that Aranda either wasn't offered (which would be dumb and I'd assume Alleva didn't make this call cause he'd be gone to) or didn't accept.

One pig-head, USC reject is enough. Great OC, he has not shown himself to be a good HC so far in all his stops. I get the extenuating circumstances at each, too.

No.

What about his current job? You don't think he's doing a good job there?

Aranda is part of the cancer

Flirted with A&M, got his 1st interview promise and was told OC would not be current LSU employee. Canada wasn't even gone yet.

As good as he is supposed to be, why would LSU not interview him if he did go to A&M or anywhere else. They sure crawled back to Jimbo.

We have time, burn it all down today and call kiffin. We need some young guns in here that can recruit QBs and call a fricking offense.
