Would bringing back Munoz to be the OC a good hire? What about Kendall Briles? I wonder if he would leave Arkansas.

With Title9 stuff looming, anyone with a last name of Briles won’t be getting hired at LSU.

If Orgeron is still here, and that seems like a Big if, I’d be cool with Munoz as OC.

I would take Munoz. Briles made Franks a competent QB so yes to him as well. There are plenty good young OC’s out there. I believe that’s the easy spot to fill. There are far less good DC’s than OC’s in college football right now. The young coaches want to be on that side the ball because that side is who is getting the head jobs quicker.

I would go scorch earth and go young with Munoz as OC and Russ Callaway as Passing Game Coordinator. Two young bright offensive minds.

Should’ve been given the PGC title.

Absolutely. Munoz gets it. He had to leave and become a position coach if he ever wanted to come back as an OC

Aranda didn’t make him OC at Baylor...why would we make him OC here?

I got the impression that Munoz didn't like working with Orgeron. And the feeling was probably mutual the way Orgeron let him go.

Unless there is a change at HC, don't see it happening

Munoz last OC job at ULL he was demoted after 1 season. I’d take him but we should explore other candidates first.

Can we be done with the passing game coordinator role being so important? One competent OC running the offense with position coaches and analysts

Yeah, I think Munoz was valuable in his support role handling a very specific part of the offense. I don’t think that means he should be the OC.

I would rather the subject matter expert on offense being the actual guy (offensive coordinator). Last year, our SME was Joe Brady. And he was telling Ensminger what to do during the game. Yeah, Ensminger was calling the plays alright. As in, he was actually physically calling out the plays on the radio. But Brady was sitting there next to him basically telling him what to call and Ensminger would call it.

Munoz was basically the Ensminger of ull before he came here. On staff a decade, one shot at OC and they were ranked in the 100s in offense. Him alone or him plus E would be this year's offense or worse.
