Landry doesn't have any level of situational awareness. But he will find out, because over the last few days he has committed public political suicide.

I don't care who we hire.
I'm not ever voting for this asshat again, and i didn't like voting for him the first time.

I agree he sounds like an idiot and could just shut the frick up, but..
I tell you what, if we have coach next year that doesn’t have a team that can rush for more than 20 yards a game I’ll agree with you. But I’m not sitting here letting what that idiot says on tv get me all bent out of shape over next season and the future of LSU when it hasn’t happened yet.

Landry doesn't care.

I'm also in contact with his office about something else going on at LSU.

It's about vendor contracts. The Louisiana constitution doesn't allow 100% contracts for public institutions. Yet LSU has been doing it for years

So we shouldnt mix sports and politics when voting? But the Governor can mix politics and sports? And also lie about where the buyout money comes from?

Nothing is too early with some of this bunch . Everything is catastrophic, and the sky is falling. Rewind a week, and everyone wanted Kelly and Woodward fired for the most part. They get fired, and it's an epic meltdown because of the way it happened. Can't make it up.

People won't give a shite about this if LSU makes a great hire and is in the playoffs in the next couple years

No, but the next election will happen at the business end of the next coaches’ 2nd season. If he’s not doing well this will absolutely be a factor.

As a conservative - Same. I’d rather get stabbed in the front than in the back.

lol the irony of you being a moron and not realizing Landry is the one mixing sports and politics.

There are very few things that can absolutely turn the state against you as much as screwing up LSU football.

Landry’s political fate is tied directly to this hire.

Same.. Not voting Landry again. Definitely not for primary, and likely not for general election too as long as a moderate.
What a clown show.

Not big on perception are you?

Having your retarded coonass GOVERNOR ranting in his dumb coonass voice like an idiot on TV about the job isn’t the best look when you’re trying to hire serious and talented people for it.

The dude is a self promoting piece of crap.

In the most interesting timeline Woodward would run against him and win.

This. If I hear that's in the works I may just move back (or at least get a piece of property in the state) just so I can pull a lever for Woodward against that wish.com DJT wannabe.

Lunacy. He will run away with reelection, whether you like it or not. We love LSU, but the majority of the state does not. Further, of those of us that do, the great majority will vote for him again.
