Wisconsin snags Luke Fickell as next HC

Wow... Kind of a blockbuster.

The stunning development comes after the Bearcats and Fickell finished the regular season with a loss to Tulane on Friday while the Badgers wrapped up a 6-6 season with a 23-16 home loss to Minnesota on Saturday.
A Board of Regents meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at Wisconsin. On the docket is a discussion of the future football coach's salary.
An announcement is expected to follow. Special teams coordinator Kerry Coombs has been named interim coach, according to The Athletic.

Agreed, Fickell fits very well with Wisky's identity, the Alvarez, Bielema,etc..lineage.

I would think Wisconsin and fickell are in a better place rn but those two could be fun to watch going forward if rhule gets it together.

Ohio State is still an option for him if Day doesn't win it all in the next couple seasons.

I think Fickell realized he had taken Cincinnati as far as he could, and if he didn't get out now he'd be stuck like Matt Campbell at Iowa State with nowhere to go but down and so does your stock. Good move by Fickell and the Badgers.
