Why would anyone consider “no state tax” as a deciding factor to move somewhere?
Sounds idiotic to me

“Yeah I really love the facilities, NIL funds, long history and tradition of excellence, and the amazing salary. But I think I’ll go somewhere else because of a state tax I was already dealing with in MS”

And the next HC will make so much money they won’t know what to do with it all, much less wish they had 3% more.

When you’re making that kind of money you really want to keep it

At the level the HC is at LSU, money is the least of their concerns. Whatever gets taken out by state tax will be quadrupled by their canes sponsorship

As a selling point, “no state income tax” really is a bait and switch proposition. The property taxes you’re gonna pay on the McMansion you’re invariably gonna buy will at least offset the lack of income tax.
Bottom line: the government’s gonna get their $$$.

UTSA hasn’t lost a home conference game with their current coach. Plus, Mcown was unplayable that game.

It’s been a gentleman’s agreement to not poach coaches from each other.

Same reason why Florida won't pick him. I think he will be a good coach somewhere, but my assessment of coaches is almost always wrong.
Florida took a flier on Napier, it didn't pan out. The mindset around Florida is probably that they need to grab the best candidate in the SEC or in a relevant P5 team.

Did you not see what just happened to Florida with Napier? That’s why not Sumrall.

This is like going to the car lot to buy a top of the line Denali Tahoe and coming out with a Malibu Custom...

You do understand that there is no PERFECT candidate, right?
No shite. At the same time there are a helluva lot better options than bringing Brady back

Maybe he's been good because he's attached himself to actual generational talents.
So what?
He’s got the Allen and Burrow skins on the wall. Talented QBs will see that and want to play for him.
I think he’s at least worth a 5-year deal at the aforementioned rates.
I'm a big joe brady fan but he didn't work with burrow. He worked with the receivers. He also helped install the passing concepts and helped call plays.
