I'm with you. O has done everything right, made no significant mistakes so far. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. It certainly isn't broke right now, so why in the frick should we get rid of a guy who's winning to get a guy (Jimbo) who will be no less available next year, or the year after that, or the year after that?

He has taken the distributer cap off a crazy talented and very experienced team.
He has beaten teams that this team was supposed to beat and threw up a big goose egg againt the only high caliber team he's gone against.

The only reason LSU wasn't completely embarrassed against bama was because of Aranda. O had no clue during that game.

Made the playoff once. Playoff wasn't around in 2013. 2013 should be reason enough to want him though, as that was one of the most talented teams in the last decade in college football.

Well, to be fair, CFB has always had a playoff.

It used to be a 2-team playoff, now it's a 4-team playoff. Regardless, it's always been a playoff. The only difference is the number of teams and the method of selection.

Heck Miles even beat Bama. I just don't understand the love for him given he was run out of town as OC to be replaced with Crowton and Studrawa.

I didnt know getting the head coach in waiting title at Florida State was getting run out of town?

He got that job because of his family / friendship ties with Bobby Bowden. LSU fans didn't want him for a couple of years before that.

Seriously? He's won 3 in 6 years.

because we are slightly better job than fsu and he coached here before. Don't think he would go just anywhere.

Its a grand slam.

But the years since then, we've learned than les miles handcuffs his OC and runs conservative gameplans. This is very obvious now.

Also, jimbos offense at fsu has been nothing like the 2005-06 LSU teams.

So basically....suck it.

He wasn't run out of town. It was quite the opposite. He was so good at his job Skip Bertman demanded that Les Miles keep him when Miles was given the head job (sound familar: see Aranda). People got tired of his offense after a few games in 2006. Who was the head coach in 2006? See any similarities to the rock em, sock em try to win 10-7 games with Les Miles and the 2006 Auburn game?

Jimbo left because on his own because of Les Miles.

Don't turn this into a shite thread. Really break it down. I just don't see Jimbo that great of a coach. Why hasn't he won more ACC titles? Made the Playoff's Why is he available. I just not the WOW factor. I think he is another 9 win a year coach.

I've seen some idiotic post, but this mother fricker takes the cake. He won THREE STRAIGHT ACC TITLES and WON A NATIONAL TITLE. He's won FOUR ACC TITLES IN SEVEN YEARS!!!! What the frick is wrong with you? Some of you fricktards see he's lost 3 games this season and it's like you just forget about everything he's done. For frick sake he made the playoff in 2013, he's developed 3 first round picks at QB, one as a hiesman! There are literally 2 coaches in college football with better resumes. How fricking stupid do you have to be?

ETA: Oh, and this season would only be his second fricking 9 win season. His first coming in his second year as a HC. Again, stfu

Don't forget he had another first round qb that he developed here at LSU, Jamarcus Russell. Oh, and he won a national title as offensive coordinator with Matt Mauck. Oh, and he won another SEC title with Rohan Davey. Once again, HERE AT LSU!

Those downing jimbo are freaking nuts. Maybe he's not the new shiny toy any more...but his resume is superior to Jim harbaugh. And he's still fairly young.

If you can get him, you do it.
