wonder how some of these posters make it out of bed each day

They ignore entire arguments against O, then come up with complete bull shite against jimbo.

I.e. Jimbo hasnt won enough NCs...but don't look at O's 10-25 record at his only HC job because it was 10 years ago.

He has made the playoffs

Ancient history. Jimbo has 3 conference losses in 2015 and this year.

But he won with Bowden's players. Just kidding. He'd be a great coach at LSU.

It certainly isn't broke right now, so why in the frick should we get rid of a guy who's winning to get a guy (Jimbo) who will be no less available next year, or the year after that, or the year after that?

Coaching is not like playing a QB. You can't just throw a guy in there and pull him when things go bad. Our next coach will be here for a minimum of three years. That's why letting emotions play a role is a bad idea. You have to look at things from a long term perspective. While I disagree, maybe you think O will be fine long term. But you can't hire a guy with the mentality of "We can just throw him out if he sucks next year". That's a horrible way of thinking.

I agree with that and didn't really mean that we would just drop a coach if they had a bad year. If we go with Jimbo, I'll be a fan and support him just as much as O or any other coach. But to your point, if we drop O after 7 games, that would be a little destabilizing (3 coaches in less than a calendar year).

I have a feeling the same people that defended Leslie til he ran out of runway, bash Fisher and jumped on the Coonass train.

Mainly because of his Defense. FSU doesn't allocate assets like LSU does to pay top money for assistants. This goes right to the core on why fisher is looking to get out of Talla.

Oh. I didn't realize we had already hired O as the head coach.
